Greetings
I am very curios to know if anyone in the BHW forum has ever invested in binary options in trading platforms such as IQ Option and what do you think about binary options do you actually think you can profit in such a risy bussines ?
Hi drin101,
The industry average of successful trades is %51-52 and the ROI is %70-80 (stay away from any broker who promises %90-95) as far as I could find out. So a little better than flipping coin

However the biggest risk from my POV is the brokers. I'm not blaming IQ Option, didn't hear anything negative about them so far however read and heard horror stories where brokers suspend your account after a series of successful trades, account managers draining your account without your consent etc.
I wouldn't trust a broker who only gains when I loose. I'm sure they would do anything to make me lose. As you are on their mercy with your funds there is not much you can do.
Smart options with smart contracts technology would be a good solution for these kind of problems I believe. I suggest you to investigate this technology. Towards the end of 2017 there was an ICO (Spectre) completed which aimed to implement this technology. They have successfully implemented their solution by April and their platform is live since April (month of April was with a limited number of traders for final testing with real money).
The main difference of that platform from others are:
- You have the full control of your funds all the time (there are two types of accounts with two levels of controls), you can withdraw your funds and trading gains anytime you like, they can't stop you in any way (thanks to the smart contracts).
- Their data feed is automated from multiple sources and they can't manipulate it.
- If you hold more than a specific amount of utility tokens (SXUT) you can increase your ROI rate by %3-5 (sorry don't know the exact percentage).
- You either trade against a peer (which I think would be rather seldom) or DALP (Decentralized Autonomous Liquidity Pool) which is funded with the amount granted from the ICO and not against their balance sheet.
- Their profit is from the volume created, so they don't gain anything if you lose a trade. Your lost goes to DALP which pays you out when you win.
I can think of only one issue at the moment; you have to buy Ethereum (ETH) to start trading but they are working on a solution where you can buy it with fiat or credit card within the platform which will be available in a few months.
As you can see I'm excited with this new technology and Spectre Platform however with the success rate of %51-52 (which I suspect it could be increased with the above mentioned differentiators and a good TA) and ROI's, I would still consider it a risky investment.
