making money selling ebooks?

hey i thought of a new way to get some money perhaps. getting some free/paid ebooks and
sell them in amazon and other ebooks sites. the thing im wondering is if i can get into
trouble by selling ebooks that are not mine/ i'm not the author? i can always edit them if possible too.
what you guys think?

You can always sell ebooks as an affiliate on Clickbank or write your own and publish them to Kindle Publishing or Clickbank. Copying an ebook from another author can definitely get you into trouble, starting with your webhost shutting down your website after a DMCA notice.

no i mean, just selling them on amazon. no website or anything

You can't do this type of reselling, you will get a copyright strike and maybe a fine.

I previously had this idea so i tried it when i sent, they sent a notice saying this book contains material that has appeared on the internet.. then it asks you for a load of proof that it is yours, in simple terms it just does not work

You should not do that or if you do some bad situation you might face in future..
But its totally up to you.

There are e-books with master resale rights that you can re-sell but as someone said, the content is not unique so Amazon will not let you sell it. The best way to do this is to get a plr or master resale rights book and have someone on fiverr re-write it for you so that it is unique content. Then you have a book you can put your name on and it's unique. Or... You can rewrite the book yourself which is harder and takes longer but it is still a good option.

Why would you want to do that? How would you feel if someone gets a book written by you and start selling it on the net. In any case, you cannot even do it no matter how hard you try. There are more than a million ways to know if a book was copied and your account in Amazon will get banned before you start. The best way is to get 3 good books on your niche, read them through, make notes and use your note to write yours. That way, you get a book better than any of the three. It's tedious but it's your best option. Good luck.
