making money online for 1 year

Recession has al;ready hit me and i had a very steady income in a IT feild and now i am at home trying to make money and i did make money from all the help and guidence and alos the materials available from BHW . I owe a lot to thgis forum for giving a way to lead my life. Much to come in future where I will sure will be a paid member ( not at this moment) as i am still struggling to pay all my bills and also take care of my family.....

I wish a very good luck to all the folks out their who try hard to come up in life.......

yea that blog is awful looking, if you think you are going to make a living off of that you are crazy...

when i read ur first post I assumed this guy had hosting and a nice template or a blog that has been up and sustained for a while..

Hope u like RAMEN

eh?! A very dangerous life situation? Are we on the same thread? :-) He's not quiting his job to fight in the UFC.

$500/mo is peanuts. If that's all he needs he can get a job in mc donalds to pay the bills if all doesn't work out. I'm also sure he can get another decent job if it comes down to it.

If he had a family, a mortgage, car payments, credit card payments then I would definitely recommend NOT quiting the job, but he has no obligations. Now is the time to give it his full attention. If it doesn't work out he gets another job, no harm done.

The best way to succeed is to put your self in a situation where you NEED to make money. There is NO reason he can't succeed. This site contains everything you need to make a little cash online. Most people don't succeed because they're lazy and don't work at things. They wack up a quick site and when it makes them nothing they declare themselves an IM expert who knows about the reality of this harsh career. Please.. :)

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this business. I think it's one of the best decisions I've ever made to enter it. Although I do have a slightly different point of view than you do. The dangerous situation part, well maybe it is slightly over exaggerated, but the point remains the same. Also you believe that putting yourself in a situation where you "have" to make money is the right way to motivated yourself to work. This is where me and you differ strongly in our beliefs. What happens when that "need" is no longer there? The discipline and motivation will be gone as well, and most people return to their original state, of laziness. The motivation for this type of work needs to come from within to be sustainable over the long term (ie. how many people start off making good money and after a few months it all falls down?).

But I DO understand the decision isn't as life threatening as I may have presented it. But I try to make all my decisions to provide me with the best "edge" I can have. I never said he won't succeed doing this, in fact, it is quite possible that he will. It just wouldn't be my choice, but good luck either way, and you'll always have BHW if you get stuck!:)

I seem to have gotten quite a few thanks for my posts. Perhaps they serve as inspiration that there really is money to be made.

At first it can seem like such a challenge and I know I personally began to question whether it was really possible or whether 99.999% of people were just making the odd $200 in a month then having several months with nothing.

There's so many miserable people who will try to put a downer on IM because they've failed. The important thing is to just look at that person and ask yourself "Why is that person not doing well".

Then look at someone like Harro and ask yourself why he does so well.

From my observations the main thing is creativity. The purpose of this forum is not to give you step by step methods for making money. Quite a few things you'll find are old, at one point they did make a lot, but now they're a bit too saturated. What all these posts are for is giving you an understanding of the type of ways you can make money online. After reading lots and lots of posts you should have a good idea of some of the different angles of attack you can take. Your next step is to THINK and be CREATIVE. Look at the particular method. Ask yourself:

How does it make money?
Why does it make money?
What key technologies are involved?
What's the target market?
Which of the above is important for this method and which isn't so important?

Write all these things down on paper until you've broken down the method into key components.

Next ask yourself what you could do differently to "reignite" the method. That question might be answered from looking into the target market and what they expect, or why they came there in the first place. Is there another, similar thing that could get that same target market to the site?

In general, break a problem down into workable components and look at changing one of those components.

That's a good way to tackle almost any problem you have anywhere.

Definitely agree with this, great post!

i LOVE your this thread...it motivates me alot....and i hope you will earn more money for the new year 2009 ! Best of luck to you ;)

My goal in time is to live on the money I make online. Here is how I am going to do it....
1. Start making more money
2. Spend some more money to then make more money... (hiring people, ads etc.)
Now it gets better...
3. Make more money to pay off my car and house
after that is paid off...
4. Make enough money to live off for a year while spending more money to make more money in the blackhat way
5. Quit my job
6. Make my wife happy
7. And get some

Let's strive for some lovin!

good luck, just don't forget you need to budget money to invest back into your sites to help increase them.

why not get a part time jobs, or do like me, join the army, get injured in iraq and get free checks, free checks but live in pain.. win/win lotsa drugs..

There are multiple threads, including one HUGE thread, on this topic in the Make Money section of this forum if you need more details. But this is a summary of what to do if you are desperate ;)

This sounds interesting, I can't find the thread though, if someone could PM me the link that would be cool.

Anyway as for advice in this situation, I'm not one to count my chickens before they hatch so I wouldnt quit unless I knew for sure I was going to win here. But if you think you can do it, then go for it.

EDUCATION?! So you're advising he give up internet marketing which can make him $100-$5k/day depending on how good he is to go and do a 3-5 year university course and then get a graduate job that pays peanuts working for some greedy employer who's having him slave in the office while the employer drives about in his Porsche.

There's also a lot of negativity on this post. There's a ton of money to be made. I'm shocked so many people are saying they're not making enough to give up the day job. What are you all doing to make so little? Get creative, do blackhat stuff. You can't just sit there with a couple of blogs with adsense on them and expect to strike it rich. EVERYBODY and I mean EVERYBODY is doing that. If you want to play the blog game then get 100 blogs up and create a few blog farms to push link juice to your best converting blogs.

$500/mo is $17/day. $1000/mo is $34/day - That's pocket change if you're really applying yourself and utilizing some of the methods on this board. Even spending a small amount time per day writing some articles for AC will get you $10/day.

Screw the day job. You don't get rich by playing it safe. That's not the entrepreneurial mindset. You build a business, you sell it and what do you do? You invest every penny in your next business and you keep doing that until you're sitting on your yacht in the south of Spain.

If he screws up and starts to struggle to pay the bills then I'm sure he can get another job. There's a million things you can do for money online and offline.

The difference between the rich and the poor is the rich realise there's opportunities around every corner and the poor think without that day job they're in serious trouble. That's what they want you to think. It's not true.

Brilliant quote. Nicely put.

I salute your decision eskimo. And why is that? Because the best way to have a great start is to burn the bridges. To half of you who cannot understand (the ones for a steady job) what the other half's mindset is. let me just say that man in a despair is the biggest threat to anything that stands on his way. Even the great Sun Tzu recognized this, as he says that in battle you should always leave a way for your enemies to escape, or face unseen rage. History is full of such examples: early US pioneers and immigrants, Vietnam, Jews in Warsaw ghetto, Stalingrad, Korean war etc, so good luck to you fellow Blackhat!

I agree with most guys here, it's a huge gamble doing this in the middle of a major recession, good luck if you do though, I think you'll need it.

I would say it is kind of risky to just rely on one blog that is not even controlled by yourself. Blogger can ban the site anytime out of their whim. If you do go this route, I would suggest you set up your own site. At least you have direct control over the domain. with your own script, it is much more customized manageable.

Anyway, good luck to your endevor, it is a bold move. You can alwasy turn back to dayjob later if things do not workout.

You should always start making money online in your spare time, you need to learn a lot and experiment a lot, I suggest you figure out a direct steady source of income while you work on your online-websites/income.

I actually really admire your courage... I just turned 22, I've spent a couple years learning about internet marketing and stuff and now I'm actually trying some things. I've wanted to quit my job... But I'm too practical/prudent to take that kind of risk...

Anyways, I read a really cool article on how people that take the point of view that they can always improve and every experience makes them better and that the universe isn't done growing and people aren't done evolving, AND are willing to take risks actually not only do they tend to gain experience and do better, but science shows that the failure actually sparks certain neural activity to stimulate the brain to get them learning at a faster rate...

Basically if you fail more, you learn faster...
Many people don't realize how many times a guy like Michael Jordan had to fail before he could dominate the NBA. There was some poster I remember seeing saying something like "I missed 26,532 shots, 450 times I've been counted on to make the winning shots and I've missed, but it is because I fail that I can succeed"
There was a founder of some company I think IBM who said something like "if you want to double your rate of success, you must be prepared to double your rate of failure"

Anyways, good luck to you, I hope it works for you, Personally I'm stuck at some mundane job, but the good thing is, I'm "stuck" in front of a computer... that means that I can drag a txt document to bottom of screen and type away and brainstorm ideas, and type content, and work on site, and at the end of the day email it all to myself...
I even found a flash drive that can run firefox and as far as I know it only stores it's history and cookies on the flash drive, and not my computer, so when no one is looking I can go on internet. Except blackhatworld is considered "hacking" so the network won't allow access (unless I find a cached page for some reason sometimes that works)...
But I can still do a lot of googling for resources, finding plugins and stuff...

But anyways, heres my advice to you:
-Don't plan on making it with one blog, you need to just create a ton. That way you can try different things on all of them, compare and see what works
-Don't spend much time at all with content. If you are going to write content, spend the time to find a free auto content spinner like Jetspinnger, and write articles so it's like [in order to, if you want to, some people desire to][make money online, earn an income online, profit on the internet] the software will select one of those words from each of the brackets, and create an article, but you can do this to create a lot of unique articles so if you spend time like this it's worth it...
-Otherwize get dragon naturally speaking you can download a torrent if you want somewhere if you have the time. It's easy to just verbally talk an article
-A solution to writing content, is generating content on your own. Some have suggesting using free hosting accounts and uploading wordpress, others say using feedmyinbox.com to have the rss feeds emailed and set your blog to post the content. If you want to autoblog on blogger, there's alot of great stuff on this forum too.
Basically you need to find out as quick as you can what works, and that means having a lot of blogs.
I think a good model to follow would be the guy who's 1 on "make money online" who owns a blogger account. He talks about owning hundreds and some even thousands of blogger blogs, and he has learned pretty well how to dominate.
The biggest thingis you quickly determine a flexible method and stick to it.

You also may want to leave yourself some "outs".
Hope you have some money saved up.
You should probably find out a source of income. There's TONS of freelancing sites... SO people might pay you to write articles or to build templates, or build backlinks or whatever... This is a source of income that you can come up with if yoou NEED to, not that you want to HAVE to have.. You also may wish to supplement your blog with income so you can actually afford to spend money on having things automated for you so you can free more time to do more valuable things.
Ultimately you want sources of passive income. Sites that you set up that earn regardless of whether you touch them...
But it's nice to have steady income from articles you write, or edit, or templates, or whatever...
You may wish to find out what people are willing to pay money to have created, and focus on learning how to do that well. You can find all the information on the internet you need, the problem some times is too much information...
so FOCUS needs to be a HUGE priority.
Write down exactly how you will do it and what you will do.
Step 1 Find secure source of income.
there's a pdf for 172 outsourcing sites, look through those sites, and google for the best list of freelancing sites, register for as many as you need until you can find it.
I know this doesn't seem to make sense to find essentially a "job" online when that's not your goal, but the act of KNOWING in your own mind that making money will never be a problem and if it comes down to it you will always have that prevents the anxiety and fear that will cause you to make decisions out of desperation. I know the "don't look down before you make the leap", is a good idea, but "don't jump without a parachute either" is true.
Once you have that secure
Step 2 find a mentor
This doesn't have to actually be someone you have metor you only, but You need to stick to one person who can be a role model. Follow in their footsteps alone, and ask them all the questions you can. If they're blogging about how to do it, they want to help you, give them the opportunity.
Step 3 Focus on that method intensely and go far above and beyond.

And hey, if you do it, report back and tell us all the method you did.
goodluck! :)
