Making money from online games?

yea, i dont think theres much business in the virtual currency / item industry anymore, way to many companies started doing it

u could also run a site that has lots of tiny little games on it, and make adsense money with it. but adsense bids for game-related ads are just pennies apiece, so u won't earn much unless u have a massively popular site.

yea i dont really plan on making a site that popular, i had the idea but i guess it wasnt good, just reaching out to the people on a game and having them go complete offers or refer them.

I know selling WOW accounts is big - I don't play and don't know about it really though. Also, if you mean creating games, there are a lot of flash ad programs.

yea, i dont think i want to spend the time making accounts or harvesting gold myself though, id rather get a bot or something to powerlevel. Anybody know of a good bot?

I've heard people have had success with virtual currencies but I'm not sure how reliable it is.

Both are built around player-driven economies and feature a built-in convert real-world money to in-game currency and convert in-game currency to real-world money. Entropia Universe, to give you an example, someone bought an in-game island equivalent to the amount of $400,000 USD, this was several years ago...it has the best land to farm, mine, etc. on, and he has tax rights on it...estimated he's bringing in $50,000 a month...should pay off the purchase cost rather quickly :)
haha, its true but that was back then when Entropia wasnt as famous, If you havent played Entropia for years then you should watch out more of what you say about Entropia, Trust me i ve played there for 2 years and its not what it seems like.
It looks like entropia you would have to play it a lot to make some money
The only way possibly that you can make money in entropia would be to start out a service , an in-game service. Playing the game won't make you rich , or you will have to trade in large amounts.
Its nearly impossible to make money in Entropia , just ask the people who deposit in there and ask them , have you made thousands of dollars? They are more than happy if they can keep playin with the last month's deposit for another week or 2. Maybe when they introduce another planet then there would be more opportunities , meanwhile there isn't much unless you like playing the game for fun and not for profit. The whole island shit is just a bait to attract new players , you don't really get rich.

The guy who bought the island , was one of the director from "The pirates of the Caribbean" so he did have money to invest into that. There arent opportunities like that anymore in Entropia(for the meanwhile).

Take my advice and don't go there trying to get money , unless you just want to play and socialize.

haha yea i kind of realized that, and i dont have time to be playing it a lot so i think ill pass on entropia

I've had experience selling accounts in world of warcraft.
I would level the accounts with a bot, and then have them farm gold for a few days.
I traded some of the gold for some more account codes to make new accounts, then sold the characters.
It took about a week for each account, but it was pretty much automated.

And then they put in reqruit a friend, which made it possible to level 4 accounts by hand only a few hours, and sell them for a bunch of quick cash.

which bot do you use that beats warden? do you still use em? lately been seeing a lot of people get banned from bots

One sure way to make money from MMORPGs is to run a private server, and once it gets a bit popular you start selling in-game items / money / we

making money on online games can be done..but you have to think outside the box

There are a few private chinese bots that don't really have enough attention to have blizzard waste money hiring someone to detect it, but they are mostly hard to find.

And then their are the public ones for sale..
A few off the top of my head - pirox, gnometools (best one imo), pocketgnome, wowgremlin (chinese pos), gatherbuddy, omegabot

But if Blizzard decides to spend the time coding warden, i'm sure they would be able to detect it.

I am a WoW addict. I farmed and sold large amounts of gold for the entire duration of my pregnancy. There's a shit ton of gold sellers (Chinese farmers), and even ClickBank WoW leveling/ gold gathering guides out there. Check it out!

My boyfriend plays Magic Online (it's a card game) and he'll totally rule other players in a 1v1 card game, sell all the cards he gets from that game, puts some into buying new better cards, and sells the rest for in game currency, which turns basically into 1 tick = 1 dollar US. There's a ton of a ways, you just have to find them.

PM me if you want help.

Sorry to bring this thread back up >_< but...

I've been working in this niche a long time. If anyone wants to talk about this more please contact me. I'm up for anything ranging from JV to just general gaming chat.
