Making bank from the new EU cookie laws

hmm, people declining seem to be a problem here. Meathead, how many of the people responding to you decline your offer?

You'll get way more declines than you will people saying yes, that's just the nature of sales. Just keep going and once you find a way that converts, stick with it.

Here's how to implement it to non-wordpress sites: http://www.portent.com/blog/design-dev/web-browser-cookie-law.htm
To summarize, upload this javascript to website (name it cookieConsent.js: http://pastebin.com/FmAjBh1Q
And put this inside <head>

Code:
<script src="cookieConsent.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

To initiate the script, after page load, put this code snippet just above the end body tag on every page that writes cookies:
Code:
<script src="http://gd.geobytes.com/gd?after=-1&variables=GeobytesInternet,sGeobytesCountry,sGeobytesMapReference"></script> <script language="javascript">cookieConsent(sGeobytesInternet,sGeobytesMapReference);</script>

You can also try not selling them directly, but directing them to a website with intentionally complicated intructions on how to do it themselves, and then at the bottom of the instructions and on an exit-page linking them to a couple of services which are unrelated to you which can do it for them at a nominal fees?

Here is the site which generates cookie code. If I'm correct this can be installed in all sites no matter what platform it is.

Code:
[URL]http://www.civicuk.com/cookie-law/index[/URL]

Most of the blogging/site platform started offering solution for the same. Here are the links...

Wordpress
Code:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cookie-control/

Drupal
Code:
http://drupal.org/project/cookiecontrol

Magento
Code:

Typo3
Code:
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/cookie_control

Joomla!
Code:

Hope this helps..

Got another question here: i figure most people want some kind of proof for their payment. Do you make a receipt for them? And what about people who don't use paypal? I'm from belgium myself, i think people from the UK for example will find it a bit weird to have to send the money to another country + i rather not use my personal bank deposit for this (taxes etc). How did people pay you?

Then there's no other way unless you get them to send a cheque. I'll try and get 100 emails out today and see the conversion rates over the weekend, if any.

Thousands of companies are currently in violation of this law, and we can offer a simple solution to the problem for a nominal fee.

I have just created a website to offer this service. I plan to market the website both offline and offline.
Will use contactforms, follow companies on social media, and also do telemarketing which I will outsource if it proofs to work.

Thanks you so much OP for sharing this great idea.
Im gonna take action and will report back if I have success which I'm sure will happen.

yeah, the way I have explained it is far from perfect - so it's best to just get stuck in and then tweak the method as you go along
Thank you for the share but what if the website is not wordpress ? like Magento,Joomla or other old type of websites ?
How to prove to the owner that he does not have the cookies option already ?

I am trying to answer these questions that we will face for sure.

Thanks

why not rebrand a wp plugin and offer it for free in exchange for opt in.. could get a nice list of web owners for seo, other plugins, hosting etc

I actually tried this, and only a few responded a while ago. I then started a job so didn't have the time to really tap into its full potential. I did get a 'fuck off' though in an email which in all honesty did make me laugh.

Hi, Just wondering is there a limit to the amount of emails I can send with gmail? I was thinking just writing 1 email then copying the exact same message for hundreds of other people. Would this work or get flagged for SPAM?
