Also "living online" is one of the most generic ideas in the world

You could have a digital marketing agency, a web development agency, purely online and still they are classic businesses
You could have a ecommerce, selling through Amazon etc... all "internet living" and countless amount of people is living from this

So you seem to be specifically talking about living from Ads and SEO. By far one of the most exploded topics by gurus because it feels the easiest thing in the world and the truth is that, unless you have a multidisciplinary set of skills its 100% impossible

The odds that a guy that has issues installing a WP from scratch lives from this, unless he lives in Bangladesh or Venezuela, are almost 0.001%.

And even a guy with such skills, will struggle hard. Because the amount of patience and discipline one needs to keep working (9-5)x2 for oneself would even bore Saint Job to death.

Without physical 9-5 jobs the world would crumble. Imagine if everyone was an online entrepreneur selling half assed products. Just because it didn't work out for you doesn't mean self-employment isn't possible.

Why you just monetizing website? You can also give service to others

I sell to LeadSmart, they do good coverage even in smaller areas, you can reach out and ask them if they have coverage etc. and if you do enough volume they might be able to find a buyer or find someone who does sales and partner with them to handle finding you a buyer.

You have 210,000 visitors per month. And that's not sessions you're saying, it's unique visitors? So your sessions must be even higher.

You cannot make more than $200-$300/mo from almost a quarter million people coming to your sites per month and instead of think "wait, I'm the problem. I'm doing something wrong". You come here and declare "It's not possible to make a living online". Which is beyond ridiculous since the digital market is worth trillions per year. Trillions. Global ecommerce ALONE is over $5 trillion. And that's just ecommerce. It doesn't include B2B services which are trillions again.

You are lacking skills. Plain and simple. You have some basic skills in being able to rank easy niches, but that's about it. This is why you're making $200-$300/mo.

Your income is directly proportional to your skills.

Someone running a $50mil/year company has a vast amount of skills. One of the most prominent is being able to build high output teams. To be a leader of leaders. It's all skills. Nothing else. If you can raise money, that's a skill. Everything is down to your individual skill. All the way up to being the richest man in the world. It's skill. Give money to someone who has no skill, and they lose the money.

You need to improve your skillset in marketing, copywriting, email marketing, selling, creating an offer, testing different offers.

One of the first things you could try is just using a better ad network, but the bottom line is you have near a QUARTER MILLION people.

EVERYONE on the internet is a buyer.

There's no such thing as bad traffic. It's a myth. The same person who is googling "buy breville 4 slice white toaster" (ie, end of sales funnel keyword. Ready to buy now) is browsing funny jokes on "silly-low-earning-joke-site.com".

He's just not in buying mode on the second site. You have to create marketing and offers with that in mind.

I guess a lot depends on how you adapt to the changing world of the Internet

You need to try different ways to monetize your site, you should be earning more with such amount of traffic.

The money you'll make depends on the opportunity vehicle. If what you're doing right now isn't working, then change to a new vehicle.

the thing is, online freelance is very unstable, you gotta plan ahead man
