I was going to sell this as a WSO last year but never got around to it.

Here is the quick over view.

1) Find a offer (find something people need - i.e love....money ... discount coupon)

2) Create a QR code redirection to your aff URL or landing page.

3) Use the QR image and make a banner/flyer/sign

4) Hand out the flyer/banner/ - Or advertise it in news paper... or Put up the sign where there is a lot of foot traffic (targeted foot traffic)... i.e Free Education Loan (outside Colleges).

Watch results... optimize ... Scale up.

Yeah, this method will work best in US/UK/CA/AU etc.

In the US half the population have a smartphone...

LOL, does this still work? I did this a year or so ago on CL and Backpage and actually got a few conversions. A great place to do this is at local pubs, bars etc.

OMG, combine this with tagging flyers in your city's BestBuys' parking lots for utimate conversions...
Also, the pub idea, brilliant for adult signups!

Rent out an expensive car and tape it with "learn how i got this" Then park it around somewhere with lots of people walking by.

Well this can be scaled in that way that you can create an "hot-spot WiFi" on your smartphone or whatever device that let you create an hotspot. (there are some apps on iOS and android that helps you to do that)
Name hot-spot under your domain, something like www(dot)free-iphone(dot) com
And each time someone in that area tries to connect to wifi it will see your domain on available wireless list.

Good Idea. This has been discussed openly in some IM forums. I wonder how well it would work today. Well, There is no harm in trying.
