make money with mini websites (500$ per month)

I tried at the beginning of this year something different. I had the idea to offer cheap websites for students and start ups. There are 25.000 students at the university where i live. Many of them are interested in having a website (for their start up, hobby etc.). So, i made a flyer with my offer "Websites for only 99 Euro" and put the flyer on the pinboard of my university. I made in 1 month almost 500 bucks in about 20 hours. Here is the method step by step.

- Create a flyer with your offer of creating a website:
- the flyer can look like this: "You want your own website? I study here at the university and develop websites for student councils and start ups. If you send me a manageable design of your desired website, I can realize it for 99 Euro per website. A trained webdesigner takes 1000 - 3000 Euro per website. I work fast, uncomplicated and clean!" (your email - xyz@your email.de)
- wait for answers
- discuss the contents/design of the website with the students. Pay attention to clear agreements (small website without dynamic content with about 5 subpages).
- make money

Be creative, think outside the box and make money!

Does that price also include hosting?

Ha ha well there you are nice work . Hijacking thread is against the bhw rules man . Even you are not suppose to open new thread without having jr VIP membership..

What kind of sites do those students usually want for ths price? I mean, there are cheaper Alternatives. So do they us their sites for?

Personal daily/weekly blog or just a hobby or portofolio?

Care to share how you make the sites? Do you write the code yourself, or use an online platform like wix? Thanks

i simple use wordpress and the theme spaciuos.
 
well... from one side, low AF price is not a good thing, if a person will receive a somewhat quality service for cheap price, he will seek for it in future aswell, are you okay providing quality services for cheap and making people think that something worth $500 is doable for $50-100? from the other side, most students probably won't give more than $100-200 for something simple.

being even more creative, I would reach out to students from ~100 universities (for beginning) asking them to advertise your services just like you did, and for each client that came from them you would give them 10-15% of the profit, so maybe if there would be a lot of clients, you would want either to make them pay 5x more, so you will handle it yourself as there will be less clients, or having some people help you and make those websites for tons of ppl :D
 
Offering hosting with this , such as hostgator affiliate , will pay $100-150 per host client on to of ur $99 site.
That's with out any up sell , such as matching fbook page , insta , YouTube channels on top.

Most importantly, in this area you can offer a variety of additional services.
 
I think bigger money you can make with trying to get them to sign up with web host through your affiliate link.
Some web host pay nice amounts and even extra on annual renewals.
