There is whole range of AR glasses indoor to outdoor.
They have gone cheaper too. Starting from 249$.
And no I am not talking about VR or smart glasses. They start from like 20$ but they don't qualify as AR.

It can be used for real estate tours with first person POV.
Regarding the streaming niche : limitation can be battery. For outdoor streams i have seen many twitch streamers carry batteries + portable wifi's for continuous internet connection. They still lose connection while having such heavy gear.

Meta rayban sold several hundreds of thousands of units. Possibly up to a million, so it should be expected.
But I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone create content with the glasses.
Remember the focus is creating POV videos. The viewers would still be regular social media users.

Yeah, a few people are making money with AR glasses mostly through POV content, livestreams, or productivity boosts in niche jobs. Still early, but there’s real potential if you’re creative.

For india you can buy directly from the manufacturer like rokid max is 299$. That was released 2 years back. Electronics at Amazon.in is super expansive due to import duties and taxes.
The once that record videos are limited to 5-10 mins. There might be ones which can livestream or store in cloud.
People are mostly watching Netflix project on a large screen.

But its a good thing to already think about ways.

I think the real problem is the camera quality and the lack of ability to make a rig out of it (for example, it is impossible to add a nd filter to the setup which is bare minimum). You can’t add different lenses to the camera either. So in terms of vlogging I find ar glasses pretty useless. I would rather use an iphone and make a rig out of it.
I love the tech though.

It's mostly still in the adaptation stage for general money-making. While the potential is there for unique content or niche productivity boosts, widespread commercial applications for passive income are still limited by current tech and user adoption. Focus on specific, specialized projects if you're looking to leverage it now.

It’s also useful for real estate walk-throughs from a first-person perspective. As for streaming, the main drawback is battery life. Many outdoor creators carry extra power banks and portable internet devices to stay connected, yet even with all that equipment, signal drops still happen.

I don't think if they are that popular. They only breached a niche segment, so we can only monetize products to that segment. If it becomes more common, it'll spread like virus on social media and will open new monetization streams.
