I know the current rules for marketplace threads say that there must be a "How to Purchase" section where sellers explain the process of how anyone can buy their service but its not very helpful when it comes to actually buying a service.
For example.
There are a few times when i came across a service that i wanted to buy but it does not say on their sales thread what payment methods they accept like card payments, crypto, bank transfers, payoneer, wise etc and so most of the time i have to go to their website or send them a dm or a message on skype or telegram and I have to sometime wait for days to hear from them only to find out that they don't offer my preferred method.

I think if you just add a section where they simply mention their payment methods sating card, bank, crypto, payoneer etc then we can avoid all this going back and forth and improve the experience for genuine buyers.

I am aware that some sellers do mention their payment methods but they are very limited so i think it should be made mandatory to mention payment methods in all sale threads.

This was actually suggested by a team member, but it was rejected at that time. From our observation, the majority of sellers include that information in their sales copy without it being a mandatory requirement (it's kind of common sense to list that - from a seller's perspective).

Why we didn't make it a mandatory requirement? Every time we add something more to the small list of mandatory requirements a BST should have to bypass the precheck phase, the rejection rate spikes a lot. Add to this the fact that every time a seller adds a new payment method (which is common), they need to submit a thread edit request (which is paid - $30).

In theory, if we make this a requirement, I don't think it would spike the rejection rate too much (as most sellers already do it, as mentioned above), but at the same time, we don't see this as a huge problem, more like an inconvenience in very few cases. We're trying to be as reasonable as possible with both - sellers and their customers, so when something doesn't seem like a huge problem, we don't make it a requirement.

So far, I see only 3 replies in the thread, which doesn't indicate that this is a big problem.

Nevertheless, I'll leave this thread open for a couple more days just to see if we get more responses :)

As suspected, no a lot of attention here and it doesn't seem to be a big problem.

We can reconsider this in the future but for now, the rules remain the way they are.

Thank you everyone for the input.
