Make a 7 Figure Income Using Free eBooks

I posted that I would give this ebook out for free a few weeks ago and forgot about it. I wanted to get some of the promo stuff out so that it did not look like I was selling you guys anything plus I just got a little busy and forgot.

It is basic and I recommend that when you give out a free eBook as I talk about here that you make it very basic. You are not selling at this point, you are preselling and part of that process is showing your client how they can grow their business using a few different methods. I never give them the whole recipe, if they can figure it out and want to do it on their own, they do not need me and I don't want to take their money.

This is not a bad model for you to use if you are producing your own eBooks to generate revenue.

If they are interested and don't want to mess with the tech end of how to do what is suggested in there, they call me and we see if they are a good fit. Too much info will cause you to lose the sale and too little won't help them; I try and find the balance when I put together a freebie for a client.

As far as I am concerned, you can do whatever you want with this eBook... change the header to your company and give it out and claim it as yours if you want... that is fine by me as long as you are generating clients for your business in the process. The main thing with this is to make sure that you can take something from it and turn that "something from it" into revenue for yourselves.

Great Share Man. You proved that old is still GOLD. The idea of getting traffic from ebooks is quite old but people don't use them these days. And you are making 7 figure income from it. Hats off to you.
 
so would you ever monetize the book? I have a niche I think I can create an instructional book in. Its personal finance so I am sure you familiar. But the info is already out there just not a put together in step by step instructions. That is where I would have the edge and the ability to make it go viral to some degree. But thats really where the meat is is the instructions, everything else on the subject seems done to death.

Letting it go for free, I just dont know how to monetize it on the web site end. If it requires work annually like doing your taxes I suppose I could have them opt into a reminder campaign. Or do you have a bag of cpa offers that you can roll out into any list and make money off of? Or say on that link building book, did you offer the program you developped or were you looking for people wanting to outsource or hire you for IM?

I think I could have a pretty high demand from having the instructions laid out, with a catchy title like "blank to blank in fifteen minutes". But if I can monetize it and give it away for free at the same time I think that could really take off. Any advice you can give on that, my target would be mostly young adult

What I typically do with my ebooks is to share information of value to drive people to my sites so that I can sell them a service or a product. I don't sell in the ebook, link to any offers in the ebook, or even presell there.

The ebook itself is an information offering that the reader finds valuable to himself and I try to make it valuable enough that the reader will want to share with others.

In the header and footer are links to the sites where I am looking to drive the reader and there I sell them on the virtues of using whatever I am trying to sell. The ebook, although not written as a sales tool, gives me credibility and gives the reader an idea that he needs to act on the information shared.

If he has the knowledge to act on his own, great, I've shared something to help my fellow man. If he does not have that knowledge, great I have a prospective client and the fact that they read about the {process|method|idea|nuance} that has value to them in something that I wrote, they are more inclined to do business with me.

thanks for your reply, I am new to the IM game. I know the mechanics of it but not all the nuances of making money off it. I suppose I need to do more research on maybe CPA offers or something, I know I can convince them to opt in to email. Well I hope I do, I have a nasty habit of counting my chickens before they hatch. I just made a major leap tho by getting dragon naturally speaking which allows me to blow through content, just got to go back and edit which is still alot quicker than typing.

OT: i doubt you have any threads on inventing or bringing a physical product to market do you? I have two Im kicking around, but most of the info on the internet is designed to just get money from you so the sources that are legit are really hard to differentiate.

Don't drive traffic to CPA offers this way unless they are decent paying as that would be leaving much too much money on the table.

I do not but I have brought several products to market, both physical and IM related and I'll put one together soon and post it. I'm actually in the process of putting together a product we expect to be launching sometime next spring as well so my mind is certainly in that mode these days.

Thanks for the great share BTB, made me decide to take action and write that ebook I've had in mind for a couple of weeks. Any thoughts on pushing newsletter signups on the download page? (as in a splash submit form or something)

That is pretty common and a solid way to build a targeted list as those that are interested in the content would probably like to see something on a regular basis.

People like information which is why my sites do well as they are informational driven... same can be done with a newsletter for sure.

So say you charge $40 for the book, but you could offer for free if they get 10 likes. So those 10 likes would just keep it growing. And out of those since they were referrred they would be more likely to buy to avoid the ten clicks.

I don't use content lockers so my opinion would be a little less than worthless.

I'm not making a commentary as to good or bad, I'm just saying that it is not part of my business models.
 
Very informative guide mate. Can you please tell me how to get maximum number of downloads to your ebooks. What websites do you submit your ebooks to??

Use the flea market approach; post the share in any place where people are going that have even the slightest interest in your niche.

There is very little in there that pertains to today's SEO and the process I use that is named in the eBook has changed a hundred times to roll with the times. Remember this was written in 2009 and SEO is not like your grandfather did it anymore.

There are a few things in there of value to the SEO community but the real value is in seeing how the eBook was laid out.

1) The disclaimer says to share it freely.
2) I have a couple of images in there that I made that, although rudimentary, aid in breaking up the content so it is easier to read.
3) I lay out the process and then repeat everything in a summary.
4) I made is personal (mentioned my wife).

Just about anyone can write an eBook of this quality and most can do a much better job... the title page should have been better but I was not really marketing; I was really sharing a method for free. Today, I use actual book covers that I generate so it looks much better just like you would for any other book.

2.Fb/twitter ads
3.Article marketing(pewep' method???)
4.Forums
5.E-mail blasts?
