I have found that if your keyword has less than 75,000 "EXACT" competing pages, it's pretty easy to rank a Yahoo Answers page within 1-2 days. Of course these results can vary, but it shouldn't be too hard.
That will be sorted out today, we had to release version 1.0.9.7b yesterday and alongside with all the new server work and switches we ran out of time. But, expect version 1.0.9.8 including that a bunch of fixes / upgrades in the next 7 hours.
Your link would only be clickable once you reach level 2 and once you do,all your previous non-clickable links would become clickable as well,so don't refrain from posting links every 4-6 answers/post.
Very time consuming indeed without a software ,it really needs patience and consistency not to mention the posts in bulk but well worth it since yahoo answers traffic is highly targeted and very low bounce rate, let alone yahoo answers pages stay higher on SERPs,Google must be in love with this site.
Just avoid highly competitive niches like dating/relationships,diet,loans etc. 'coz you'll get banned easily since big marketers who are in these niches will be the one to report you to yahoo if you go overboard. It is easy for a level 4+ to ban level1-level3 users outright than it is for a level1-level3 user to ban a level4+ user(it's just a privilege given by yahoo to higher level users-they have the power to automatically ban a lower level user). These big boys are keeping an eye on these hot niches and would tend to disregard or ignore other small niches ...so, better jump and take .these small niches to your advantage.
