I haven't ever looked into this...I may.

I guess if nothing else, it would be a good way to drive traffic.

yeah i tried it gotta say pretty good method... god over 300 views from a small torrent that was pupolar for 1-2 days
 
old methods get old, people don't use em anymore, then they become new again. Some of us have been on the internet to see stuff come and go a few times....... there are always new suckers... er.... people getting on the net everyday who haven't seen a lot of this....
 
hmmm.. is anyone still using torrents to earn? tried this before didn't work out..

1. Torrent is not saturated, and it will never be saturated. One thing you need to realize is most people (not BHW or torrent savvy) will download anything. Also, the smaller torrent sites display the newest torrents first, and this is where you get your downloads.

2. Am I still using torrents to earn? You bet I am. In fact I am still making decent coin with torrents I submitted back in December 08. And I never submit to mini or tpb.

3. Torrent is probably one of the easiest money making methods, but it wont make you rich.. but hey.. a couple grand per month is still good :)

where do you submit then, Sniper?

do you submit manually or with software?

Agree with sniper, torrent will never saturated. Once you mastered torrent with your own twist, you can reach 10000 real people a day for free. There's nothing better than free targeted traffic in internet marketing.
 
Here's an extension of this idea...

I used to run a downloads site (in 2004) that did something similar. In the uploading agreement for software authors, I buried "You agree to allow us to package our software with yours into a new installation file, and distribute it as a special edition". I advertised it in a few forums & newsgroups for shareware authors, saying that they could upload for free, and we would not only host their downloads but also get them major distribution on all major P2P networks. People loved it. It was pretty simple to get tons of uploads, with full permission from the authors to modify legitimate software. No one reads those 20 page click-through agreements :).

Anyway, I repackaged their installation file with my adware using WISE (an installation maker) - but these days I would just use Inno Setup - it's free, easier, and smoother. Do a google. Basically, it would silently install and run my adware, then run the original setup program. These days, you can easily get massive downloads by uploading your modified distributable to torrent sites (this was 2004, well before the torrent craze).

Pretty easy money - not millions but if I had pushed it harder it could have been. I only stopped doing it because my other businesses started to take all of my time.

I see how this could also work with the PPV model on a video site. You can use something like captain ad that pays 1.00 per thousands views and set the player to automatically play once the visitor arrives to the page. Hanvt tried the method with torrents but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
 
Ok, so I am new here and I like this mp3 to wma with the url thing. Ok so what about this? Let's say that you were to make a mp3 to wma with a Hotfile url (for the same song of course) about 10-15 seconds into the track and the message says something like "this file is damaged, etc/whatever... download a better quality version here" and your Hotfile url is displayed.

They might be like "Damn I was getting into that song wtf ?" but since there is an offer to a better copy they might be more likley to download it right away.

I would do that and see if I get a copy that isn't F'ed up. At least it would send me to what I wanted in the first place, and not just some cpa or porn site.

Could someone tell me how to do this to edit the wma? I read where someone else asked the same question, but I haven't seen this info posted anywhere.

Sounds like a great free way to get my conversions down - the traffic will not be country targeted but still worth a try I guess :)

See..if I download a file and if my browser gets hijacked...I would make it a point to go back and post no matter how I do.

besides, almost everyone has 2 browsers installed right? IE...firefox and chrome being the topmost if am not wrong.

Easiest way would be setting up some sort of virus or something that would do naught but add any pages you can easily google up yourself to the victim's hostfile, would it not? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wouldn't even think of that being the case. Even though I just said, that'd be the last place I'd think of.
 
This thread is rather old but i still enjoy this method im thinking of trying this out and see where it leads me but anyways thanks for the post very unique and gives me more ideas and plans for my success:):biggthump
