Till yesterday for a good year my website was ranking perfectly well #1 ranking on Google but suddenly today my website not showing on Google on so many keywords. My SEO strategy is very simple and i have done nothing wrong with it. Is it the side effect of Google recent core update or there is something which I have to think about

Yes, it's a core update which released on Thursday. But i only got drop only on this website rest are working perfectly fine

I have a website doing something similar right now, it doesnt even seem to be affecting all the pages but many pages randomly have dropped from spot 1 to not even in the top 100.
Some of those pages I cant even get google to bring them up even with adding my site name. I can only imagine it is because of the update, but im hoping this doesnt continue.
I also notice that all the pages affected were crawled the same day they dropped (of the ones I checked)............. so im not sure what to make of that, it might be unrelated.

When google hits with a new algo update there is nothing much that you can do except for hoping a correction or wait for the next core update. I've seen websites perfectly fine but still penalized and then rise up again in a new update without making any changes at all.

The September update is still having its effects on the websites continuously. It's not stopping. I can confirm this on my side as well as many other bloggers I know.

It might be the effect of the core update, wait for some time and check the rankings again.
It's the first time in 6 years I have been hit hard by any Google update. How much it will take to settle?
