Main Paypal account just got limited

But can anyone tell me what has happened with the account which has send the payment? And also... let's say I'm an adult e-commerce website with a paypal account and I want to send 1$ to anyone else just to limit his account?! If that will be possible is not nice.

wait, how the fuck can they have a paypal account in the first place if they have an adult related webshop? and if they allowed to have an account why pp limit only you and not them? there's not too much consistence in pp's decision this time either

They might be paying through Credit Card and not from a paypal account they directly have, they can just pay as a PayPal guest and their Email address they entered is an adult domain. Its POSSIBLE yes you could get peoples account limited by sending them payments with an email address with an adult domain, but the person should refund any payment they are unfamiliar with.

You can checkout as Paypal guest if you just enter credit card and email.

The site owner doesn't seem to have any problems with paypal, in fact he said they're his credit card merchant processor for the adult online store.

I have confirmed for sackboy127 that the site is an adult video site, with hardcore adult content on it, and does use paypal as their billing/checkout system. No need to ask sackboy127 to send you the link, I verified it 100% and we don't want to cause them issues. Nearly all of the products contain Adult Content words in their title, so its very clear to paypal what is being sold. The only possibility is they have been manually approved to receive payments through paypal for their product.

Alright, I've called them using the standard toll free number, explained the situation to the lady there who said the limitation is a final decision that cannot be changed, then she also called her supervisor to whom I explained it too, but even she can't unlimit my account. She said I should email the Acceptable Use Policy Department and explain the situation to them as well, but when I asked, she said I probably won't get unlimited. They also can't be called, they only receive emails.

Now should I keep calling them, because it seems to me it's of no use, because regular employees can't do anything with a permanent limitation.

Also, may I ask some of the more professional members in this field to help me write the most effective email possible, because I'm really not that experienced in this serious business field, and it seems to be my last chance at retreiving my account, and I don't want them to just automatically throw my email away with a general sample answer.

I am writing to request a review of my account and also to ask that it be reopened so I may continue doing business using PayPal services. From speaking with several phone agents, I understand the account was closed due to a violation of the acceptable use policy, and is probably related to a payment I received from an adult video merchant.

I feel that I have not violated the acceptable use policy, because the work I completed for this company was in no way adult related and was simply search engine optimization consulting. I would love to continue working using PayPal as I find it to be a great service which I recommend to all my friends and family to use for safe online payment processing.

Don't tell them that you have offered services for an ADULT website. They will see that you promote the adult on the web and they don't like that. Tell them that you don't know about that payment or something. Play with their minds?

Do you know how I've got 500$ back from a scam? I've sent them an email and I've told them that I was on vacation and I don't know who made that payment, after a few days the money were back. (maybe I was lucky)

But what I'm trying to say is you still can get your account back. Just try different methods, you don't have anything else to lose.

This is different because the adult website is actually using PayPal as their checkout/payment processor. So PayPal already does business with this company on a daily basis, they should have no problem with the payment for SEO Services. Every time PayPal takes their fee from that company, they are doing the exact same thing as the OP.

Yeah, I said on the phone and will write in the email that I did the SEO work on a non-adult website, and I didn't know I was going to get paid from an adult-related site's paypal address. Then if they refuse to unlimit my account, I may try a different story, but first I'd prefer to be as close to the truth as possible and see how that works out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my account has been restored after sending an email to the Acceptable Use Policy Department explaining the situation.
