I want to try a flyer marketing campaign in which I post flyers on all the community mailboxes around town. I'm also going to put up flyers on info boards at the local universities and junior colleges.

I'm trying to find the best way to do this though. I was thinking of doing a PT/FT Work From Home Offer. Maybe some kind of CPA program, affiliate program, or something from clickbank.

I would love to hear about anyone's experience with anything similar. Also if anyone has suggestions on programs I could promote with this method. Thanks!

FYI - It is illegal for anyone other than the owner of the mailbox or a postal carrier to put anything inside a mailbox (assuming you're in the US). A way around this is door hangers and door fliers, but you'll still need a permit in most cities to distribute them.

Some "Free laptop" or free vauchers work fine with college customers, they are always interested and have email to submit :)

He means on the sides of the freestanding joint mailboxes with 30 or so boxes on neighborhood streets. People put things on them all the time, like "part-time babysitter available" or "lost dog" flyers.

I've tried this a number of times for CPA affiliate programs, and offline businesses. Most recent campaign involved distribution of 10,000 leaflets. From my experience business opportunities CPA campaigns (especially in high unemployment regions) work best

I can't stress enough how important the design of the flyer is. You need to stand out from all the crap they see day in day out.

Also, the copy/content needs to be interesting enough to grab their attention, but my advice would be not to give away too much. You want to get them to your website and not have them feeling like they know it all just from reading a few lines on the flyer.
