Made $30 on two articles today

Is the Calls to Content the same as the Assignment desk? Because that's all I keep seeing and all of their stuff is Performance payment only.

Yes. Usually Call for Content has this little "2 humans icon" in front of it (instead of the usual "memo pad icon".

Hey red, when you said you target a search volume of 100-3000 searches, are you talking about monthly searches or daily searches?

The reason I ask is because I've been using Traffic Travis for my keyword research and they give me daily search volumes. I've previously posted that I've had articles accepted with a search volume of 50 but I was accidentally lying. I didn't realize that traffic travis did search volume daily until just now.

So I've never actually gotten any article accepted for search volume less than 100 on a monthly basis, just to clarify. So I apologize to everyone for posting wrong info. Sorry! :o

@ tchashow - No problem. I definitely appreciated the share, but we have to be careful about making certain things public to thousands of sets of eyes.

@ hevindester - cool deal :)

@ shadowkami and everyone - Here's a little trick you can use in order to stand a better chance of get offered the higher paying targeted assignments and Partner Calls.

Part of what AC bases whether or not to make assignments available to you is your personal interests that you've listed in your AC profile.. Fill out the "interests" portion of each of your account profiles with as many niches as as you can think of.

@ tchashow - Yeah, I was talking about total daily searches, not monthly. (Not sure if I mistated it in my post also :))

@ everyone - Yet another warning NOT to just copy and paste the sample ad that I included in the book for hiring rewriters. It's meant as an example for you guys to base yours from so that you know some of the key points to hit on, it's not meant to be pasted WORD for WORD. You can end up getting your account flagged for duplicate ad placement if you copy/paste.

@red- Cool. I don't remember if you said daily or monthly or not. I know that the google keyword tool uses monthly search volume and not daily. So that may have confused some people.

For anyone using traffic travis, it's not accurate. I just compared it to google search volume and it's really off.

Hello, I bought your ebook like 1 week ago and i would like to share my exp as far.

First I followed your guide and got a good rewriter, ponctual and making good articles. I've got my first offer from AC: 2.25. Its good for a starter. Maybe it's my niche not good. But I hope to reach the 4$ one day!

Thank you again for your very good guide.
Pasdoy

Will services like hidemyass.com work for account protection or will AC see the sender (which is hidemyass in this case) and raise suspicion on the account? I need to make and use a couple new accounts while I raise PV's on my original account. I can't afford to pay any extra stuff atm unless I can find one of these services that costs a buck, lol.

@ speakout - Thanks for the interest, btw, the book also has a bunch of things that has never been covered in the thread in order to keep the info more private.

@ tchashow - lol yeah, I don't even remember what page it was on to give it a quick check. Btw, G00gle's own search volume numbers are known to be inaccurate as well. With any tool we use we should just kind of use the numbers as a guideline.

@ pasdoy - Thanks for the kind words, I wish you the best! Keep testing with your niches/keywords and you should be able to surpass $4 upfronts pretty quickly. Just make sure that all of the basics are in place (grammar, punctuation, spelling, good title and subtitle etc) and offer AC a unique angle with the content you submit.

@ mariopits - I haven't used it myself, but will say that others have left me feedback that they've had success with it, while others have said it didn't work for them. With that said, private US proxies will always be a better long term solution. If anyone else has had success with HidemyAss, please post up.

Hey everybody,
Just wanted to stop by and leave a comment.
As you know Red is working on his new Associated Content Guide 2010 Version. Just talked to him today and the guy is putting in 16 hours a day writing it...
so guys give him a bit of a break with the questions and comments so that he can finish it and release it on time :D
Anyway, I helped Red with the first guide he wrote and I just want to say that this man is putting his heart and soul into this new book and it will definitely be worth it.
Not that he needs and compliments - this thread is full of them.
He gave me a sneak peek at the chapter listing today and I was very impressed - over 22 chapters of content ladies and gentlemen.... (probably said too much)
Anyway, Red you don't need a sales letter for this new guide... that chapter listing was enough to get me sold on it (I would post the chapter list but havnt cleared it with Red yet ;))
Ok so Red is working hard at this right now and he expects it to be available the first week of February (earlier if he is left alone...)
Rest assure the wait will be worth it.
I read this quote by Zig Ziglar (Marketing Legend) and I think it best describes Red's contribution to this forum and he definitely helped me see the real meaning in it:
"If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want."
Ciao.

Yeah, I was talking about total daily searches, not monthly. (Not sure if I mistated it in my post also :))

We need to talk about this more... please.

@ poolshark - My experience has been that anything with any search volume (even well below 1000 a month) can do well as long as the article/topic is unique and adding something new to the AC library. With that said, 1K to 30K would be optimal. In order to get the most accurate results you would want to do an exact search.
100-3000 daily searches equates to 3000 - 90,000 monthly searches. We have also discussed that you are looking for exact match numbers here. We have also discussed that competing pages in quotes should be 30k or less.

This leaves very little room for content topics this way. Using the Google Keyword Tool will give monthly search volumes, not daily.

I did get paid for a keyword phrase that generated only 720 monthly searches (exact match) according to Google. I have also been researching the keyword phrases that some of my favorite authors on AC have written and some of those results are in the 100-300 monthly search volume range.

So... are you sure you meant daily searches? It would seem that your ability to generate new content with these types of numbers would result in very broad keywords and high levels of competition.

Please clarify if you could... because now I'm totally lost!

On another note, does anybody here know how to invite specific G*A*F users to bid on a project? I have been invited to bid on certain projects but have not been able to figure out how I can do the same.

@ Hammad24 - Thanks for having my back, but I still have time to keep up with the thread and everything so no worries. Anyway, wow lol, I really appreciate all of the sentiments. You've been a big influence on me as well. To be honest, I think building a friendship and being able to bounce ideas off each other was the main thing that helped me stop reading this subforum and start working my ass off on AC. For that alone, I'll always owe a debt of gratitude to you man.

Ciao mate!

@ PoolShark - lol ok now I'm getting confused. Like I was telling tchashow, I wasn't sure which post he was refering to before so I'll clarify things for both of you in case I was misreading his question from earlier today.

You're looking for a range of AT LEAST 30 to 100 searches a day, which equates to 900 -3K searches a month in G00gle Adwords. So 900-3K searches a month MINIMUM you'de really be interested in targeting.

So as a maximum, if a keyword has more than 25K-30K searches a MONTH, it's too broad and will be too competitive. Which equates to 1K searches a day being too competitve.

Again, I'm describing optimal ranges here. Does this mean that a keyword that gets 40K monthly searches will never be accepted, of course not. The above are only ranges that I've found to be optimal. Sorry tchashow if I misread your question. ;)

Hope this clarified PoolShark

Cheers,

Red

@ tchashow - Exactly, search volume plays only a minor part in the equation. I've found that the "sweetspot" for a keywords search volume is between 100 and 3000 total searches with less than 30K competing pages in Google (with "quotes").
Here's the post I was referring to red. So here you mush have been talking about monthly searches and the post above you're talkin about daily searches, right?

Search volume is nowhere near as important as competition levels from other AC articles, but as long as a topic/keyword has at least 500 monthly searches you know it has enough volume.

I've talked a lot about some of my highest upfronts coming from REALLY obscure niches/topics, more of them than I can count have had really low search volume (as little as 50 searches a month). In the eyes of AC, the more searches a month the better but uniqueness is much more important.

And here's another one.

Exactly, the quote on the top is refering to daily searches, but it's got a typo so it should have been 100-300 a day. That was the range that seemed to be best when I made the post, but once I starting crunching numbers for research on the new book I realized the minimum and max. daily search volume can be extended out.

I spent 2 days averaging out the search volume of my highest upfronts in my past and current accounts (it turned out to be an unbeleivable chore) and noticed the highest upfronts came with the keyword search volume average I posted to PoolShark.

My head's about to explode from data overload lol

Sorry for the confusion

The Bueno verification is not working for me now. Is it stop working? Can anybody confirm?

It seems to have stopped working. I tried it a couple times. After the first account that was it really, nothing came through with the others.

I haven't been using Bueno lately but they could have started logging IP's for people starting multiple accounts (I wouldn't be surprised with all of the people using it to sell PVA's). I would try clearing cache/cookies and changing IP/proxy. I'll give it a shot myself as soon as I get a chance.

Anyone else having problems creating a secondary Bueno account?

until now i didn't use bueno for verification purposes, but will try it next time and will let you know whether it works with me or not :)
