Just to confirm, yes, I got the extras and found them to be enormously helpful. ty.
Yeah, I was talking about total daily searches, not monthly. (Not sure if I mistated it in my post also)
100-3000 daily searches equates to 3000 - 90,000 monthly searches. We have also discussed that you are looking for exact match numbers here. We have also discussed that competing pages in quotes should be 30k or less.@ poolshark - My experience has been that anything with any search volume (even well below 1000 a month) can do well as long as the article/topic is unique and adding something new to the AC library. With that said, 1K to 30K would be optimal. In order to get the most accurate results you would want to do an exact search.
Here's the post I was referring to red. So here you mush have been talking about monthly searches and the post above you're talkin about daily searches, right?@ tchashow - Exactly, search volume plays only a minor part in the equation. I've found that the "sweetspot" for a keywords search volume is between 100 and 3000 total searches with less than 30K competing pages in Google (with "quotes").
Search volume is nowhere near as important as competition levels from other AC articles, but as long as a topic/keyword has at least 500 monthly searches you know it has enough volume.
I've talked a lot about some of my highest upfronts coming from REALLY obscure niches/topics, more of them than I can count have had really low search volume (as little as 50 searches a month). In the eyes of AC, the more searches a month the better but uniqueness is much more important.
