Macbook Pro yes/no and why

Windows laptops can easily last 7/8 years, the problem is how the majority of people treat windows laptops since they are more expensive. Whereas if a person buys an expensive macbook they are going to take care of it.

Windows laptops will not last 8 years, lets be real. Use any Windows laptop for 3 years and the whole system is so clogged up with all kinds of data that it becomes terribly slow. Plus the fact that most Windows laptops are made out of nasty cheap plastic in the inside and the outside and you'll get a laptop that costs between $600-$700 that'll last you for 3-4 years. Heating problems also take a toll on Windows laptops. I've had a spare HP laptop for a few years and whenever I booted it up and started to use it somewhat intensively (3+ chrome tabs, skype and Office Word open) the thing would start its coolers and it sounded like a rocket was taking off and the laptop got incredibly hot. And this wasn't even a cheap ass laptop, i5, 6GB ram and a decent graphics card.

If we compare that with the aluminum MacBook Pro with high quality hardware which lasts a lot longer and has no cooling problems. Yes, the initial cost of a Macbook is higher, but it'll pay off in the long run. Not to mention the massive savings you get from buying a new Windows version every 2-3 years. Apple releases new OSX versions for free and Major updates cost something like $15. iMovie, Pages (Apple's version of Word), Keynote (Apple's Powerpoint) and Numbers (Microsoft Excel for mac) already installed on every Mac which will also save you a few hundred dollars on Microsoft Office.

Believe me, once you buy an Apple computer, you'll never buy a Windows laptop again. The comfort and pleasure you get from using such a reliable machine day in day out will really bring you a lot of enjoyment and a better productivity. Go for the Macbook man, it's the best choice you can make.

Mate, for the same price as that Mac you speak of, you can get an impeccable piece of technology that will last you the better part of two decades if you take care of it correctly. Just ask my 2006 Dell that makes me address it as 'the one'..

Yes. Mac is the best.
I was using mine for 7 years before I got new one and not because it was slow...it fell from real high.

So why are you labeling out cheap manufacturers and ignoring the custom gaming laptops as well as the aluminum case windows laptops? Also person doesn't need to keep updating windows every 2/3 years, an OS is supported for close to 13 years. The OS also doesn't have anything to do with a HDD being clogged up, its the fault of the person using the computer deciding not to clear out unneeded data.

I have low end plastic case laptops from 2007 that still work good.

Morons, just because your Mac has been running for years without a problem doesn't mean it's better. All my PC's have always worked without a problem for many years.

"Oh, my Mac has been running for seven years without a problem!" IT'S SUPPOSED TO, you dumb fuck! I've had TWO computers the past 15 years, both laptop PC's. I never had ANY problem with them, worked fine for graphics, games, movies, anything. Sure, they didn't have a gay-looking half-eaten apple logo on them. But they also cost about half than a same-year model Mac AND had better specs.

Here's why Apple fans are such rabid defenders of their choice: if you're stupid enough to pay twice for a product with inferior specs then you'll bend over backwards to defend your purchase. Otherwise you'll just confirm to everyone what a dumb fuck you really are.

I treat my specs like I treat my tier one backlinks to my money sites, quality over quantity. I don't care for having high numbers on paper that don't do anything in practise.

Due to being able to put any hardware into your windows machine there is limited testing on inter-operability where as Mac test everything to ensure it works as well as possible together, ensuring speed and efficiency. Then you have all the drivers windows machines required to get everything talking further reducing the capacity of the high numbers you have on paper, and then the drivers go out of date and if you fail to update them they reduce your high numbers again.

In addition to that apple ensure the supply chain is checked for quality also, if you buy or make a PC you have very little assurance over the quality of the components, although many apple components are made in China they are still held to a high standard where as I can log onto Ali Baba purchase any old crap throw it in a case and list it on eBay with convincing sales copy knowing that the machine will probably fail quickly.

Newsflash: Apple uses THE SAME hardware as PC's. Not only that, but many PC makers buy their components from the very same manufacturer as Apple.

As for drivers going out of date... That means PROGRESS, the new drivers are better. You're talking as if the drivers wither or something, like a flower. I can assure you that is not the case. Meanwhile you're stuck with the same old drivers for your Mac, while mine keep getting improved. But I guess I'm just a cheap bastard who won't shell out for "quality" and hates on Mac because he can't afford one.

Which is what, I'm the one with common sense, choosing my computer based on specs, and you're the one paying a 100% premium for having a gay logo on yours?

FYI you can actually build your own "Mac", by sourcing the exact same components individually and assembling them yourself. And guess what, you'll be paying THE REAL price, without getting fucked in the ass by Apple for a hefty premium.

So no, at the end of the day a Mac isn't better or higher quality. You can source the same components and choose to build either a PC or a Mac with them. The only difference will be the OS you'll be running.

So in the end the real preference is not about hardware, it's about what OS you prefer. THAT I can buy, people preferring OSX over Windows. But to claim that Macs are better because of hardware is idiotic, at best. THAT, my friend, makes you a dumb fuck.

Me neither. PC users don't need to "worry" about a driver. Nobody forces anyone to upgrade their drivers. You can stick with your old ones and your computer will run just fine. Or you can install new ones and they'll make your hardware run even better. As I said, drivers don't suddenly start decaying.

Obviously Mac are very sexily designed, but they have programmed u to really desire their shit with no real rational basis for it, IMO.
