"Macs don't get viruses. Take that, PC's!" Macs are just as prone to viruses as PC's. Apple has said that macs don't get PC viruses, but aren't virus-proof altogether. I could say that my PC doesn't get mac viruses, but that doesn't mean it's virus-proof. Either way, you shouldn't be getting viruses if you're remotely intelligent. I've owned my current PC for years and not once has a virus given me trouble.
"If price isn't an issue, Macs are better." No. The hardware in a mac, even maxed out on a Mac Pro, cannot compare to a maxed out PC. By maxed out I mean best hardware on the market. But since a mac can only get parts from the Mac Customizer, which provides awful hardware, you're severely limited. Right off the bat, the PC will destroy a mac. The only thing Macs might have that's better than a PC is their OS, which is so popular because it's designed for a 3 year old and has very little functionality. Also, in a year, your Mac will be obsolete. Similar to consoles (Xbox 360, PS3), they only stay close to being competitive to a PC for a year, maximum. In the mac's case, the best video card you can get at this very moment is a Radeon 5870. Released in mid 2009. And next year, if you want to stay competitive, you can't upgrade it. You need to buy a whole new Mac to come close to a cheaper PC. If you own a PC, when the next generation of GPUs comes out, all you need to do it sell your current one and buy new one for about $25-50 out of your pocket. Same goes for CPU, assuming that the socket fits on your motherboard.
So in conclusion, Macs>PC's. Unless you're 3 years old.
