Mac VS PC (What's your opinion?)

Its not Mac OS and is a hell of buggy. If u want Mac Os, for best experience get a mac.
Really?! your the first person I have heard say that a Mac is useless! hmm, the only reason why I have a mac now over PC is the virus'. I mean yea, watch what you have goin into your comp, but sometimes its unstoppable.

Mac is nice but not for the price, like the comment above me, you can get a computer which is x10 better at least by hardware.
Some people like the operating system of Mac but i personally don't. It's easier to use a PC, everyone has one and all programs are compatible with PC. Some programs are not compatible with Macs and you have to go through a process to make them a compatible, but i haven't used them in awhile so it might be different now.

No doubt about it; PC > MAC. Even Windows 98 > MAC in speed because you can tweak every setting it has to offer for a speed increases + custom computer parts like video cards, processors, motherboards, etc.
PC's are also damn inexpensive. You can get a used $40-$50 'working' laptop (Windows XP, 98, ME, 2000, possibly Vista) that is used on eBay. Of course it will be maybe B or C grade, maybe won't hold a long charge (Comes with AC adapter so it don't really matter) but, if your using it for browsing, checking email, light gaming, watching videos, it's perfect for you.
I don't see working MAC books for $40 on eBay.
And the thing about viruses, I have never gotten a virus on my computer before and I don't even use Anti-Virus protection (Notice how I said I and not my family).
You can't get a virus just for browsing through the internet, it has to attach itself to your computer (With your permission of course). People get viruses because they go to some site that prompts them to download something and they say 'okay' lets do that. Some people still believe in key generators, or hacks for sites that don't even work!
Just know what you are downloading and you will be fine.

I have both Mac And PC
And i can say , mac is great, but on PC you can use more tools , and stuff , MAC has great performance, speed and quality . You can forget about repair and service, im sure you wont need that if you have mac, but you cant use things on mac as you use on PC . Thats only ptoblem

Why not just build your own pc? You can get better quality parts then a mac at a cheaper rate.
Ohh , and yeah , i would buy Mac , i dont care if its expensive, i need quality
I feel the same way as you, I've had both, but PC when I was younger (so that could be the reason why my PC's crashed)but to tell you all the truth, performance wise my Mac has outlasted 99% off all my computers through out the household.
As for the programs that aren't runnable on Mac, that is the only downside, and that most IMers use PC (which I'm guessing), all the programs they build are .exe files (PC Only)

With Mac OS it really is just unix based shell and a pretty looking PC. Ever sense Apple made a deal with Intel, all Apple laptops/pcs have been fitted with intel boards and processors. Not a bad thing... However...
PCs a fitted with the same boards and processors. Mac's are pretty much like a BMW, it's a car... An engine, seats, steering wheel, but everything is just nicer. And your 396 Chevelle can smoke it.

I was really thinking about doing this. The only reason Im still hesitant is stated in my above post. My Mac has outlasted all my PC's so far and I have nothing to complain about it. I actually do some sound engineering on my Mac (Producing, Mixing Music) so that is also a huge + for me on the Mac side.
Not gunna lie, you almost had me sold to a PC reading that last bit.

It's really just a matter of price as far as I'm concerned. My suggestion is PC = cheaper hardware @ same specs then with linux as main OS. Ubuntu will just work. Install windows in a virtual machine like virtual box and there you go: end of the virus hell, all IM apps you want running on windows at almost native speed conveniently sandboxed by the virtual machine. If the windows installed in virtualbox gets a virus, you delete the image, make a new one and start with a brand new windows whenever you feel like it. Or you can install various windows versions that's so cozy for a lot of bitchy apps that maybe won't work on the latest windows version or require conflicting .net frameworks or whatever, we all know how much of a trouble it is sometimes. Of course (before the mac fanboiiizz start ranting) you could do the same with a mac too (have a mac os x image booting off a virtual machine as well myself), if you're willing to spend twice the price for the same intel cpu, ram twice the price because, well it's inside a box that has a bitten apple on it...

Since most applications used for internet marketing are used on a PC, it makes sense to use Windows most of the time.
I prefer Linux over the Mac OS, so when the mac air isn't running Windows for a program, it's Linux.
It's difficult to like Mac OS as it feels limited and doesn't offer any advantages over what I have already used. Don't buy into the hype.
(BTW - I purchased this mac air used as I got a REALLY REALLY good deal. It wasn't for the OS).
