Mac is always better but it comes to what have you been using.
MAC is best !
I think it's better you stick to one you are used to.
For me, I think Windows is far better, maybe because I have used it all my life.
I have tried mac at a point, it was miserable for me, I had to switch.
Gadgets are about productivity and making life and work better and easier.
So decide.

It's essentially 2 years old at this point, and there's nothing that can really compete against it for its price point. You can't get something as powerful with a 2560x1600,400 nits screen and a 10+ hour battery life for under $1,000(new).
The only competition to it(M-series) will be in a few years and come from China with the partnership between Huawei and SMIC accelerating chip design and production.
