i use Apple for years, i would not switch to Windows again. Once you start using Apple products together, you'll never go back.
I own a MacBook Pro (latest, M1 Chip), A Mac Studio, and 2 Macbook Airs.
Its easy to work with them, especially if you do 10 tasks at once.
So i suggest, Mac.

Mac all the way! May be a slight learning curve, but once you used to it, you will love it!

The best one is the one you know how to work with.
I've been using windows since I was a kid, and I'm quite familiar with registry edits, overclocking etc etc so windows works for me. Pick anything you like, but make sure you learn how to work with it.

Are you ready to move to a completely new ecosystem? Because Apple sells an entire ecosystem and not individual products. You'll soon be contemplating buying an iPhone just for the ease of use within the Mac ecosystem. And iPhone is incredibly overpriced. So are macbooks.
There are a lot of laptops now with Ryzen processors that offer a good computing experience. If you still want to experience a macbook, ask a friend to lend you one and see if you like working on it before pulling the trigger.

However I have been working on macs for years. They fire up under 1 second, work fast, have 0 glitches. The screen is more comfortable for my eyes vs windows i had to look at occasionally, and the colors seem more natural as well.

ease of usability then Intel with Intel GPU and 2 TB SSD. Look for Acer laptops in Windows 11
But I suggest to wait due to shortage of semiconductors. Wait til 2026 and Intel is coming up with new family of chips.

To each their own of course, I personally prefer Mac! I am an iPhone user & I just prefer my phone and computer to be synced & also from the same manufacture.
I`m a bit of a noob when it comes to specs & performance, the above reason is really just my personal preference

Depending on the use case(s) and whatever you're used to.
Pick a mac if you
- Are a developer and want an easier life setting up environments etc ...
- Develop iOS and Mac apps
- Want to show off at coffee bars

- Want to use Final cut pro
- Don't care paying extra for a premium brand
Else pick any other brand with better specs than a Mac turn it into a Hackintosh

You're paying for a brand. $4k macbook has same specs (if not worse) than a $1k laptop preinstalled with windows. M1 is a a joke of processor heavily marketed by apple as "the best", it is targeted at people who do nothing besides web browsing (the kind of people who don't need it, nor know what a processor even is and role it plays).
downsides of apple products:
1) closed down hardware
2) no right to repair
3) parts are hard to find
4) If your keyboard, screen, battery breaks and you go to authorized repair-shop with it, you will either get charged 50% of MSRP or be told to buy a new one with no possibility of repairing.
5) resource hungry (8GB is enough to have only a browser with few tabs open)
6) ARM processor (M1) - most of the stuff that used to work no longer works. The reason M1 is "so fast" is because it doesn't have (a proper) x86 architecture.
I owned few macbooks in my life and can say, besides user friendly GUI and apple logo, there is no reason to buy it.

Apple products are loved for their simplicity, simple GUI etc. There is no learning curve. The simplicity and user friendliness got to the point it started breaking functionality
