Hey guys,

This women is expecting a refund because she didn't receive her package on her porch!! I have a tracking number and it said it was delivered. She is cursing at me and telling me I want a refund now and I'm reporting you to PP that I made up a fake tracking number. WTF!! I have a legit business but refuse to refund her $40 because she supposedly had her package stolen. I believe she is lying. She said her postman is her cousin and said it wasn't delivered lol. How would you handle this without throwing the f bombs lol

LOL No another psycho! I understand customer service but when someone tells me I didn't have USPS leave her merchandise on her porch and she has a tracking number that says it was delivered, that is shady. USPS probably left it at her front door and she's not happy it wasn't left on her porch in the back yard lol. I hate when customers open PP disputes but I just looked and she paid by visa. I'm expecting her to open a charge back.

My advice: move one. Paypal always sides with customer every fuc*king time

If it wasn't UPS or FedEx it may be tough. Credit card companies have been siding with buyers a LOT more easily lately, just like PayPal does. If you have tracking it may help... I'm inclined to think that requiring a signature may be the future of dropshipping because of this spike in fraud (and porch thievery).

I thought it was with PP. She paid using Shopify. Besides, I have a tracking number that it was delivered. I don't know why she said she is going to report me to PP. She just can't stop emailing me and asking me where is my refund.

I agree with signature required. I did that once when a customer said she didn't receive her products like this customer that had a tracking number. I sent her a new products with a signature required. The women flipped out and said she had to go to the post office and wait 1 hour and still wanted a refund. That tells me she was lying in the 1st place when she said she never received it when tracking showed it was delivered.

No offence, but who the f leaves packages outside?

Bugs the hell out of me when Amazon do it.

There is a chance the customers stuff could be stolen... and that's why she'll win any dispute with you. All customers will be fraudsters if you let them.

Amazon does it because when it gets stolen, they have the profit margins to send another one over.

Well, you have a tracking number and the status shows delivered. You are not responsible for the delivery after you handed over the package to the courier service, it's up to them and the recipient from that point. If she claims, that she didn't receive her package, she can contact USPS with the tracking number and ask what's up.

If the delivery guy is her cousin, why would he leave the package in a place, where it can get stolen?
If it wasn't delivered, how would the status show delivered? lol
Fake tracking number, my ass. She's full of shit and really bad at bluffing.

Just make sure, that you have all the nonsense she said in a log, so when PayPal asks, you can show all the proof, that she's a lying cheater. That and the tracked shipping should be enough to win this case, if it gets there.

Every delivery company does it, not just amazon.

People should send tracked parcels
I know every company does it. I was just replying to your post that said "bugs the hell out of me when Amazon does it, thus why I said why Amazon can afford to do it.

Whats the problem here....You sent an item, you have tracking. they paid with paypal and you have a tracking number that shows its been sent. there is no problem.

call paypal dont message or use their system, just call them and say you need to speak to someone as someone is trying to scam you. speak all frantically and upset but dont get angry or abusive, be nice to them. tell them you cant afford to be scammed.

you sent an item, you got tracking for it, the tracking shows delivery, end of story on your side. yeah you might get someone leave you negative feedback so you need to work out if that's worth the $40 or whatever the item you sold cost you. there is no reason you will lose out here. you have fulfilled your side of the bargain by getting a tracking number.

Plenty of things get lost or stolen paypal would not have any sellers on the platform if they had no rights. if you had sent it and had no tracking number then you would be fucked but in this instance you should be OK. over the years a dozen or more packages never got to their destination or so they say. we never had any claim against us as we had tracking numbers which covered us under the sellers protection policy. I'm not sure what country you are in or if that would make a difference but as far as I am aware you are golden.

Bring up the fact she is saying the postman is family and that you think this is one big scam, tell them you want this escalated and a judgment made upon it right away.

OH and don't tell her to fuck off whatever you do. the internet is written in ink and she could share that to a lot of people and it could cause you a lot of problems. remain professional and just repeat yourself if needs be. just be polite and take the high road, if anything it will infuriate them as a nice added bonus :)

Customers are always so profit minded.. They always look for opportunities to benefit themselves if they find the path... What do you expect them to do bro.. tough luck doing business these days

It's up the the customer to ask for signature required. I do have that option on my website. Customers don't usually do that because it cost more money or they are thieves.

Great response! My only problem is her telling the whole world a fake review. Customers believe it. By the way I emailed her and told her I would send her another with signature required. She said no I want a refund! Wtf!!

Then you need to work out which is worth more to you. At the end of the day she could leave a bad review anyway even if you refund her. Or can you cancel the order and stop that from happening. Do you mind me asking which platform you are selling on or is it your own site?

If the tracking says its been delivered and you used a national courier service then there should really be no problem. Let her file the dispute and you provide all information that Paypal request.

If its shopify payments refund the money. You will lose with all the proof you have, Ive sent delivery photos of the item on the porch and loss then you get hit with $15-$30 chargeback fee. i never lost a case with paypal and proof.
