Low self-confidence

Taking up a martial art has given me a massive confidence boost. Maybe you should try something like that.

Sound advice, and if martial arts ain’t your thing , getting out doing any form of exercise/ activity.. be that cycling, skating, swimming, surfing.. whatever floats your boat. Make some common friends around your pastime.

If you are fapping reduce it to once a month and the moment you just can't take it with 20 more days left before the next fap you will be way too confident talking even lyrics:):)

Tapping really may be a problem, Albert Einstein once zaidi things should be simple but not simpler

Hello all,
I'm 17 years old and have a very low self confidence. When i'm outside or with people whp I don't know well I feel uncomfortable and start blushing most of the time. Everything in my head flips and i can't talk properly. Any help?
When you meet people give them one smile (NOT FAKE). a smile says I like you. I am glad to see you. Show some interest in them, If you know Talk about the things that they are interested in. Three-fourths of the people you will meet are hungering for sympathy. Give it to them and they will love you.
Start doing some workouts which help you to boost some confidence.

The quickest way? Go talk to girls.

Express yourself, truly if you feel nervous tell the girl you're nervous but wanted to say hi (you may think this will hurt you, but it won't).
Will be a bumpy road, lots of denials but hey, it's life and even the most confident men in the world get denied.

Start working out, start doing some MMA. If you lack looks, it will help a lot. Lose weight if you're over-weight. Start dressing well, get a good haircut. Proper posture.

i have a friend that he is 38 and still is like this , so not all people are the same , at 17 i was mad totally mad but i had and this in a corner of my self

You really get a sense of hope after hearing people more older than you still face the same problem but 17 yrs old and the guy has a lot of time in his hands to make it happen.

You claimed ALL 17 year olds are like this.

Everybody is different, people devlop and adapt at different speeds in life, people handle situations better than others.

If anyone has serious concerns / issues then see a doctor, get professional help.

Begin with finding a hobby, sport or pastime where you meet other people.

Even just going out walking in fresh air is a start. Worst thing is to lock yourself away in a room, all alone.

Mate, you're 17. You've got years and years to have a sick life! Just focus on your personal hygiene, hit the gym and eat healthy. After a few months of focusing on these 3 things, you will be amazed at how different people are when you approach them. You'll be attractive, to both sex's and if anything they'll feel like you do now, and you'll feel confident beyond anything you've ever felt.

Look good, smell good, feel good. It will work wonders for you mate, trust me.

Start earning a shit ton of money. People will come to you and they will want to talk to you. No all jokes a side get out of your comfort zone a little bit. Start searching persons it will be easier to connect with. Once that starts feeling like your comfort zone take a step further so that you keep improving

Fabulous !!!

OP watch this Video, I came across it again the other day and thought it was inspiring:

No matter what situation you are in there is always somebody worse off, don't limit yourself and push yourself to have the life that you want.

@JamieJayden Don't hear somebody's irritating words,

Focus the person who are appreciating your success :-) Confidence will automatically grow.

Go to a psychiatrist, he'd suggest you some medications alongside advising you to go out more.

While you can go out already, those medications will help you keep calm in the situations you mentioned.

While I'm no professional, there's this pill called 'propanol' that's an anxiety reducer.

Go swimming, cycling, footballing. These things stop the negative voice inside your head. Keep doing them and within 6 months, you'd break free completely.

Let me know if I can help you in some other way.

Check out nofap. Porn fucks up the dopamine system for a lot of people making them more prone to depression and anxiety.

I get to wank at least once a day, sometimes twice due to the industry I'm in. NoFap is over-rated, tried it, had no effects on me. Fapping doesn't affect me either, except, I am excited afterwards :D :D :D

OP, you not need seeing doctors or any of that crap. There is a lot of good advice in here already. What helped me out a lot is swing dancing. No matter where you are, I am certain there are dancing classes near you. You get to physically connect to girls and talk to them. It might feel a bit odd but it will get more comfortable after a few classes. It will also help you look cool, just imagine talking to are girl and saying that you are a dancer ...

Dancing also helps with posture, health and so many more things. You social circle will certainly expand.

Work out - also helps.

Travel on your own - also helps - I am doing this for several years now and it's cool.

Meditate.

Become careless - so you won't be affected by the opinion of other people. That's how I live for the past few years and it feels fucking awesome.

Join ToastMasters - will help with public speaking.

Create online business (if you don't have one) so you have money and time to do all those things and live your life on your own terms.

The best way to build up your self-confidence is to start working on yourself. Define your goals.

You said you have an acne.

What's the solution?

Find the meals which cause it. It's not like you were born with it. Maybe you have a bad tolerance on lactose? Milk products etc.. Read some books on healthy nutriment, vitamins - there are plenty of books to help you. Even informative videos on Youtube. Start experimenting with your meals and define your lifestyle.

The next step is to become comfortable in your body. Start working out. You don't have to go straight to the gym. I know it's scary at the moment.

You may just do some easy workouts at home. Check out a few videos on youtube, do some push-ups, squats etc.. follow the videos. Once you get stronger, buy weights - start slowly.. and you will improve and grow. Then you will be confident in your look.

You're living a healthy life, working out but anxiety is still there?

It's time to start reading self-improvement books (relationships, conversations, food, business..), creating new projects and stepping out of your comfort zone. Once you get to this point, it's gonna be much easier to talk to the others.

You know much more - you can easily begin the conversation. You're confident with your body - you won't be looking somewhere else, avoiding the eyes contact etc..

Hope this is gonna help you! (don't worry... you're not the only one who had to overcome this.)

Wow, It's great that so many of us want to help!

I would suggest meditation and exercise. But also reading lots of self help books about confidence building etc.

It's perfectly normal to feel that way at your age though, confidence improves with time and experience as a natural progression.

Watch some ted talks and youtube channels that focus on your issues too.

Good luck and try not to beat yourself up over it, you are not the only one!

Well, you have a much bigger problem than that. You are a dummy in the first place. You already created the "I am a complete loser" thread. The thread has 5 pages and you haven't learned anything from it. How many times did you visit the gym since you said you will? How many books have you read ? Zero!

When you start blushing next time, that's just your alarm screaming, "Jamie is a loser. Too lazy to do anything about it."
