Low Google ads impressions after ad adjustments

Dear Blackhat users,

I manage cpc campaigns with more than 100k per month adspend. However, now that I've changed all the ads a little bit, I notice that my impressions have dropped by 70%. There have been no changes for the rest.

I wonder if you also have experience with this and how much time it usually takes for you to get back to the old 'level' after making adjustments.

Is it the case that someone at Google manually approves the account again or what do you think about that?

so you spend 100k per month and never before made changes to your ads? :D is it 100k greek drachmas? :anyway:

to answer your question based on the limited information you've provided it could be that your quality score dropped, so your cpcs went up. i personally haven't heard of a manual approval, however have seen some people being limited in their daily spend until the account becomes "trustworthy" in google's eyes (like on facebook), however if you've been spending loads before that i don't think this could be affecting you

An increase in CPC can lead to fewer ad impressions. However, what ultimately matters is clicks and results. If impressions decrease but results remain the same, there’s no real issue.
 
Performance may briefly drop after updates, but no manual review is needed; results typically normalize within days as systems relearn and optimize.
 
Usually Google needs some hours to re-optimize after changes, sometimes 24–48h, impressions slowly pick up again.
 
you just reset the learning phase, give it 7 days to recalibrate before touching anything else.
 
Normal man, big ad edits can reset learning and QS signals, impressions usually recover in few days to couple weeks, no manual reapproval thing, just algo recalibrating
