Low buget start-up, help would be appreciated

Hello,

Firstly, I am sorry if i've missed the section, it is my first time posting and i am not quite sure where it fits best.

I've been reading recently almost every thread in this forum, every method or ebook posted, and decided to start on my own.
Unfortunately I am running little low on cash since i'm in high school, so i have a question:

Could I start promoting a product (let's say from clickbank) on a free hosted wordpress blog (with pages)? And do backlinking, promoting etc in the same way as for with a dedicated domain?

You sure could, but blogs on the wordpress.com domain aren't meant for commercial use and might get deleted. I suggest you use a blogspot blog..

I would however advise you to purchase a domain and use wordpress on it, especially if you will be putting time into this project. Iff you need funds, you could do some backlinking, blog commenting are something for someone on this forum or somewhere.

Hi accelerator_dd; firstly are you sure you can't find $20? Life is so much sweeter and easier when you have your own domain and hosting. Look down the back of your sofa; I am sure you will find some money down there and just beg and borrow the rest if you really can't afford it.

Secondly you can't do any affiliate marketing with .wordpress.com sites; as soon as they get noticed they are taken down. Try hubpages and Squidoo as there is no issue using these to market products.
 
i agree with thelock. i'm new but i know that i would trust a .com site a lot more than a .blogspot.com. just seems unprofessional imo.
 
you're probbably right, in my country 300$ is the average salary per month, so i'll try but that will slow me down i guess.

if it's a struggle to find that start up money, do some black hat things to get it. there's always a way.
 
Guys if there is a will, there is a way. All the rich people never gives up on their failures but instead learn from it.

Just be patient and you will soon be successful with what you are planning to do with your site. Good luck... :)
 
Even if you had a .info domain you would be better off than a free domain and those are pretty cheap. What country are you in and what do you want to promote?
 
just go for a .info domain .install wp and use a free hostfor now.
take small tasks or take some small freelance work (if you are in US ppl will be paying you some quick bucks to complete surveys ,subscription -----BH leads for there cpa u know ;) )
use turk amazon for some quick money or use readbud or ****** for some cash

once u have enough money to buy a .info -all your work will result in better results rather wasting ur time on a free domain

i know there are money uissues sometimes but you can always get some quick cash if you just open ur eyes

I can offer you a free domain if you have a godaddy account.
 
you really don't need a domain or hosting...depends on what type of marketing you're doing, but article marketing can be done with free sites and seo can also be done with free sites if you're good at finding converting keywords

Thanks but i don't even have hosting atm, i'm vorking on getting a new credit card, and already am up to 40$ in savings :). Thanks a lot guys really appreciate it. :)

There is a free hosting option that was posted in that thread also.
 
I too gone with the free route. I have a free hosting and a .info domain. And the .info isn't really a keyword domain since I figured that if I fail maybe I could use it for other niches.
