Lost Domain Authority

Hello Everyone,

As being new to SEO I made some Mistake and I need help to recover that.

I have a website for local business and tried to rank it better. The DA was 22 and dropped down to 14 just over night. I am confused what could be the reason there was two changes.

1:- I bought about 500 links from BHW Market from one of the service provider and I asked him is it safe to put it directly to my website (Tier 1), he said yes it is Safe. So he created the links and send me the report. When I checked it looks all spammy links. If it is the reason how to remove them??

2:- One that days while checking my website I found that there is no redirection of non-www and www both of them are working and there was difference between non-www And www PA so non-www PA URL had better score than www URL. So from Google Search Console I changed my Primary from www to non-www and now some backlinks are come to www and some non-www. For both of the DA 14. If i configure the redirection while it help me.

Reason of the drop of DA from 22 to 14 is that you care. Nothing else. You think Google gives a flying crap about the DA of your site? No it does not and neither should you. All that matters is that Google likes your site. I can have a site with 200 hidden PBN links with DA of 5 outranking pretty much anything. So what's the point? Now you got it I hope.

About ordering shit links from marketplace and seller basically ripping you off by blasting your site with 500 backlinks, well, that's your lack of due dilligence. There's shittons of info here on BHW about how to build links and the ideal velocity, yet, you basically screwed your site now. You can try to use Disavow tool and disavow the links, but first, I would contact the seller and ask him to remove the links. Then I would do some more reading and wait where the site appears and THEN if everything else fails, I would disavow them. However, I would rather forget the site and make a new, because this is way too much work imo.

And for sake of all the gods and holy spirits... why have you changed your primary version of the site on the run after the site is alive? Now Google has to reindex everything and that will sure as hell not help you. Or was it just because your PA was better on one of the versions? Use your head please. That's what it is for.

And of COURSE the PA will be different on www and non www version, because DA counts links pointing to www and non www seperately.

Anyway, that site seems totally screwed and I wouldn't even bother with it anymore. Do some more reading, like few months of reading and then start a new project. That's what I would do. This site is just a bad news really.
