Losing followers why?

Hi guys,

I have a 200K+ babes niche account which was growing insanely fast till last Friday. I had an organic growth of almost 5k per day. I guess the account was appearing on suggested users section a lot. On the weekend I received several requests for payed promos so I started posting a lot on my Story and contacting other accounts to do promo SFS. Exactly at this moment the growth completely stopped, I am even loosing followers. I guess it’s some sort of shadowbann for abusing rtory and DMs. Does anyone has some experience with that problem and knows how to recover from that?

Typically when a account gets a shadow ban. The accounts posts don't reach new users, which results in a decrease in following, since no new followers can be attracted.
It normally lasts 2 weeks (14 days).

Personally I have seen shadow bans after a posts get removed, phone verifications and abuse of hashtags.

I would start a new account (no matter how painful it could look) because you might never be able to perform as you used to, on this one.
Reach 300k followers (minimum) and then start making deals, but outside of your account. You don't want to talk to anybody from your IG account.
Look, engines are always smarter, they save/track everything. So, don't let engines to track you. Never answer to any DM's, but instead do this:
When someone contact you for shouts etc., you will use a random IG account to respond back. Just say you are the owner of that profile.
If there is a need to double check ownership (from the buyer) tell him to send you a message ex: Hey 21673 (any numbers he want etc) so you just read and send back.

What's so wrong with responding to DM's?

Fake followers or inactive accounta Instagram is deleting that type of accounts everyday.

Jump above that, and think like this: do what you must, don't do what you can bypass.

You said it yourself, "I started posting a lot on my Story", after you started doing ads/promos.

Just how many ads were you posting on your page? Everyday, every other day even? That's too much in my opinion.

Let's look at this logically;

You started posting a lot of ads on your account >> your followers started experiencing what I call "ad burnout". They follow you for content, not for ads every other day >> that resulted in you losing followers >> which means less engagement on your posts >> which results in your posts having reduced reach >> which leaves you in the predicament that you are in now of decreased daily growth.

I'm not saying what I'm theorizing is absolutely correct, but it's just a view of what resulted based on the actions you made.

The solution? Slow down on the ads and do what you audience followed you for originally, which is a focus on content.

Choosing not to respond to DM's is a bit paranoid in my eyes, because it's a feature that's meant to be used (not abused of course). If DM's are bad, why would IG continually make updates specifically for it then?
