Losing all indexed Enhancements

Hi all,

long-time non-registered reader of the forum here. It helped me with some problems we had before with our website.

We did some pretty good growth from Feb to Aug (around 35%) with only White Hat SEO, optimizing content, technical SEO, etc. Apparently, we got hit by the August Core update but also recovered in Sep to Nov. In December the misery began and has been peaking for two weeks now and we are facing an issue that I cannot solve or make sense of and I don't know what's going on.

We were able to get our Enhancements on GSC for Profile pages, Discussion Forums, and Videos so far with good results over the last 6 months with minor ups and downs. Now we are losing the enhancements rapidly, not only in one area but in all. Due to this, we are ofc also losing a lot of traffic recently (see the last screenshot attached).

I already checked the schema code and checked it for any errors, but I couldn't find any. They would show up as Invalid anyway. But they just disappeared from GSC as it seems.

We are losing all the pages showing in the Core Web Vitals, no matter if Good, Need Adjustments, or Poor (which are either way 0)

google regulating the traffic (they send traffic to whoever they want, regardless of where they rank). How they do this (manually or algorithmically), or based on which criteria, I don't know. But the regulation is real and it's been going on for years (albeit not all the time and for all sites, of course. But it does happen)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you as I've never dealt with adult sites, and also because I've stopped caring about SEO 3 years ago, so I'm not familiar with many new things (the enchantments you mention in your post, for example, I have no idea what those are)

But if you're losing traffic it's most likely (it almost always is) an algorithmic penalty, so analyze the before and after of the pages that lost traffic or rankings, and also analyze your competitors (which competitors disappeared and which one replaced them, if any), maybe you can find something you can cling onto...

Last but not least, most of the time with these updates it's either a content updating / improving matter, or it's a link building one (sometimes even an internal linking thing), so get busy with updating the content and sending some links (internal ones initially, from relevant pages and if these don't do anything try to get some external ones)...

But again, these might work for normal sites, I'm not sure how google treats adult sites, but you can try these if you have nothing else to try

For clarification, enhancements are pages with Schema.org information that Google indexed and used for their rich results, such as video, images, or Reddit post previews in the search results.
