today they have been messing with the algorithm every minute. but at this very moment, it looks like the EMD factor is back. I only have one EMD so I can tell for sure though.
are your EMDs stronger than before?

So you have one EMD and because it ranks good you conclude that it must be because of Google bringing back the EMD factor, do get this right?

I am sure a ton of penalized EMDs got released from the Penguin refresh for whatever reason.

But like BTB said, it never went away.

My EMD got slapped to the furthest corners of the WWW.

I have 3 EMDs. 2 of them showed big improvements. I suppose the changes could be attributed to any number of factors though

What is EMDs stand for ? sr i am newbie here :D

Exact Match Domain. It basically means your domain name is exactly the same as your main keyword. If your keyword is Blue Cars LA your domain would be bluecarsla.com

Exactly. It's still maybe one of the most important factors!! ;)

EMDs always gave the website a slight advantage, although for a long time now it was pretty negligible.

As blackerthanblack said, EMD stands for Exact Match Domain and PMD stands for Partial Match Domain.

For Ex: if your keyword is "How to get rid of acne"

EMD : Howtogetridofacne.com
PMD : getridofacnefast.com

The site top of my niche is a third world written EMD spam site. It's been there for 10 years with pure spam links. Mine got slapped at every update. Plus if you have an EMD ofc you can build maybe 20% of anchors to the keyword as it's also the brand anchor. So yes there are many many benefits.

I think it still works, just not as easy as before.

I have few EMDs, weak SEO done to them, seems my rankings have improved quite a bit. So yeah, it might have received more importance.

EMD = Exact Match Domain

Example, you have a website about Web Hosting niche (niche = field) so if you you got a domain name like this
webhosting.com / webhosting.net ....... it's an EMD domain for this keyword.

Read at this forum and you will not be a newbie for a long time.
