Hey guys need to get leads with Google ppc in run a cleaning services based buisness in Australia.
How will I beat the competition.
Thanks regards nat

Such a broad and general question.

First, define your competition. Then grab a tool like similarweb to get insights of how they generate traffic as well as their referrers. Then you'll have some data to ask a better question.

If we are talking about search advertising, then you need to first of all collect keywords that accurately describe your service through any tool. Then you need to calculate your budget and bids so that you are competitive and occupy good positions. And of course write a coherent and clear ads.

This is the most important thing. And if there is a question more specific - write.

Yes, it's a bit too general, you'll have to be more specific. And above all, do a bit of market analysis or competitive research first, especially on the policies part of your competitors, because that's very important for Google. And if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to write them here

Focus on local keywords, highlight unique offers and make your ads super relevant to your area.

Even though this is a relatively old thread, and OP haven't been online in a while, I think some members could benefit from this so I'm happy to share my experience in this niche.

When you're running in a competitive local industry, be it garage door, locksmith, appliance repair or cleaning, you must put your efforts in a few different key places (beyond the obvious like, choosing good and keywords (both local and general) and structure them in a way that makes sense):

1. Ad creative: be as specific as you can, use DKI and location macros to encourage Google to show your ads over others' and at a better price.
If a user from Melbourne searched for "house cleaning service" you'll get more clicks with a headline like "House Cleaning in Melbourne" than with "Residential Cleaning Near You".

2. LP optimization: add social proof (reviews on Google, TP, and anywhere else - if you have a widget showing your clients' locations with pictures, even better!), and the city to the headline, consider adding the keyword as well if it makes sense (can be done automatically).
If a user from Adelaide searches for "house cleaning service", a headline like "House Cleaning Service in Adelaide" would work a lot better than "Residential Cleaning Service You Can Count On" or anything like that.

3. Report conversions in a way that makes sense in the context of your actual business goal. Every monkey can set up calls and leads conversions (by the way, call tracking is a must!), but if you want to step up your game, fire conversions for paying clients and optimize for that instead of for leads. You might pay a bit more per lead, but increase your close rate and average LTV, lowering your CAC and improving your ROI significantly. You can take it a step further and report your gross profit back to Google to prioritize bigger projects over smaller ones.

All the above is backed by tons of tests, and I'd be happy to elaborate more if anyone has a question or wants more info.

To beat the competition, try focusing on local keywords, making your ads stand out with special offers, and tweaking your campaigns regularly to see what works best. Just stay on top of it and keep improving

You can add some call extensions or location extensions to make your ad stand out.

Nail down local targeting, create compelling offers and focus on long-tail keywords to outshine the competition in your area.

To beat the competition, focus on highly targeted keywords, use location-specific ads, and highlight your unique selling points (like special offers or eco-friendly services) to stand out in your Google PPC campaigns.

Try local and specific keywords like "house cleaning services Brisbane" or "commercial cleaning canberra."

bro! Keep it local, make your ads pop, and focus on those keywords.

try offering a unique deal or special for first-time customers and make sure your ads highlight that! It’ll set you apart from the competition.

Focus on super targeted keywords, great ad copy, and make sure your landing page is spot on to outshine the competition!

Start with tight geo-targeting, use exact match local keywords, run call-only ads during business hours, and push strong trust signals like reviews. Focus on Quality Score to keep CPC low and outbid lazy competitors.

Nail local intent keywords, add location in ad copy, and use call extensions. Keep bids tight, test multiple creatives fast, and focus on ROI, not just clicks. Local reviews and landing page speed matter too.

Focus on your local area and target exact keywords people use when ready to buy. Use call-only ads with clear offers. Raise bids during busy times, watch your results closely, and pause what’s not working.

For cleaning leads in Australia, I’d zero in on suburbs, use call-focused ads, and tweak landing pages daily — watch what competitors do and out-hustle them on relevance.

have you tried doing some local seo for your keywords? might not be that hard to rank for some local longtail keywords, maybe cheaper too...
