Looking to start an affiliate program for my software

I have a new software product being released shortly and am looking at starting an affiliate program for it. I know i have a number of options ranging from running my own affiliate program to using clickbank to gather affiliate sales.

What is generally the better option? I have no experience with Clickbank etc at all

If it is a recurring product AND you can sell it yourself to generate affiliates you can use something like aMember but if you are going to need someone to drive the train you want to look at JVZoo, CB, Avangate and sites along those lines as they have a following so to speak.
 
There are sooo many affiliates on clickbank though.

More of a chance getting it sold more on there i think.
 
Do clickbank/jvzoo etc allow you to offer your product with other companies, in other words do they have an exclusivity clause?
 
Why don't you hit up Josh and see if he can give you some direction. He has some very strong working knowledge in the area.
