Looking for paid or unpaid, agency license or single license WordPress security plugin recommendations!

Recently had some issues with outdated plugins that left a website vulnerable and 2000 malicious files were found on the site by our hosts security team. Was able to get everything removed and have now purchased auto updating plugin, but looking for some added protection for ease of mind.

Please only recommend plugins you have experience using.

Cheers,

Securi is the best for Wordpress security in my opinion.

Wordfence is a per-site license-based model.

I would propose you to check ithemes security pro. It is the one I am using on my websites. I am pretty ok until now :D

Im using Sucuri, got all the functionality that i need plus its easy to setup

Wordfence

hide login url ( I forget exact plugin name)

Author slug changer (by default your slug is the login username)

run your site through cloudflare or other popular CDN to block common attacks

Ithemes security pro if you want a standalone solution and you already have cdn configured.

sucuri for cdn + security.

I use these two and prefer Ithemes for small websites, sucuri for larger ones.

wordfence is also good.

Don't use nulled plugins and themes, that's the first line of defense!
