Looking for reliable VPS hosting

Do most of you host the software and scripts you get from here on there servers? Looks like most are in USA . What would happan if a software developer complains? Wouldnt they shut down your whole VPS server?

The first step is usually an email to you asking for your valid license. At that point you can either take the script down or pay for the license. If they do jump ahead and go right to your host, you pretty much have the same options. A host isn't going to shut down your server without contacting you first. Blame it on an outsourced programmer.

^^Naw,

Hostgator shut me down after they got a complaint without even asking me anything, Even tho I did ignore the compalinee email for 1 month but Im sure hostgator didnt know that nor did they know if the complainee lied and said i ignored there emails.

Go to the Webhos*ting's Talk VPS advertising sub-forum and you'll see a bunch of VPS offers. What I recommend is opening notepad or similar and glancing or reading all the VPS offers there. After some time you begin to see a pattern if you will, and you'll start to notice the better deals. Put them on your notepad and after 10 pages or so you should have a good list on your notepad. Then pick the best ones until you find your better deal. It's also a good choice to email some of those providers so as to check how quick do they respond, this may be a good indicator of a professional and reliable company. Bear in mind different timezones though.

WHT VPS Ad forums is a good place to look. I probably wouldn't place too much weight on sales response time though as many companies have separate sales and support departments and it would be difficult to gauge a company's support department based on the response time of the sales department (Paulo, not saying this is what you meant, just clarifying for the OP). I would say though that sales should get back to you within 24 hours Monday-Friday. I would not bother with companies that are unable to provide 24/7 technical support.

i must say that is a very good point, i read somewhere that if you specialize in one script,( really no more than two or three), like a blogging app and a cms app, if you have a chance to get really efficient and fast at putting up customize sites.
that makes sense to me.

I find it funny that everyone is chasing after the next best script .. and not taking the time to learn the ones that they already have ... thereby loosing money and time.

I have to distance myself from hostican.com After recent problems for myself as well as an associate of mine I can not recommend them anymore. So wiredtree.com it is ....
