Anyone have any good recommendations. I have had a few problems in the past and I am looking for reliable hosting.

I'm using WiredTree and have been very satisfied, small company and the guys in the back actually remember you and are very savvy.

Been through a few hosts, but about 3 months ago moved to futurehosting.biz.

They've been the best provider i've ever used. I've had zero down time since commencement and that's been extremely rare in my experience. They're also not too expensive.

I've got a VPS with LiquidWeb right now, and I'm very happy with it. Their support (the few times I've needed it) has been super responsive.

i have got one each from PowerVPS and SLHost. Both are every good ad the support is very responsive.

So you may like to choose the cheaper of the two.

You might want to check out hostican(dot)com Great Hosting Company

I have been using Startlogic for quite some time. They have always provided great customer service and fast VPS control.

i always liked relakks, great price and since its in sweden you may be able to "relax" a bit more than usual with your shady dealings

thanks for all of the suggestions. I will check each one out.

Do most of you host the software and scripts you get from here on there servers? Looks like most are in USA . What would happan if a software developer complains? Wouldnt they shut down your whole VPS server?

All scripts I have running on mine are bought ... So I have no trouble with that .....

I think that if you can afford to pay the $40 to $100 for an VPS you should be able to afford the scripts, ...

I find it funny that everyone is chasing after the next best script .. and not taking the time to learn the ones that they already have ... thereby loosing money and time.

I have to agree i went back and started using the older scripts that I had purchased. VPS may be next for me.

I use yourshelter.net - low prices and never any complaints..

If you're looking for reliable and proffesional VPS hosting services then choose WiredTree. I've been with them for half a year until my budget went bankrupt so I had to move to shared hosting again but I fully stay behind everything I say about WiredTree.

They are the only VPS provider out there without a single negative review and they collect best ratings on WHT and other forums. The servers are fully managed and what's most important, the support is absolutely number 1 on the market. I couldn't believe when people were saying they got their tickets answered in 5 minutes until I had a problem with WHM because I didn't know how to set up my own DNS servers (it was all new to me back then) and I received an answer in 2 minutes. That was freaking unbelievable! Their support is proffesional and available to you 24/7 via support tickets or by phone.

Servers are extermely fast, I haven't experienced a single minute of downtime in my 6-month hosting with them. Be sure to check WHT for coupons. You can see my review of Wiredtree on WHT here:

They are very friendly and their team is always ready to help so rest assured you won't regret your hosting with them. Some people complain about the price (which is not that high BTW) and usualy go with cheaper solutions but after few months (some ever earlier) they ALL regret it because it's just not worth the hassle (and sleepless nights) over few bucks per month.

Please note that I am with no affiliation with WiredTree, I'm just a very satisfied ex-customer and as soon as I get my funds up, I'll move my websites back to them.

I have a VPS with WiredTree and am very satisfied; however, I am not a huge fan of Virtuozzo/OpenVZ. I greatly prefer Xen as you are able to have swap memory. When you run out of RAM with Virtuozzo/OpenVZ, it starts killing off processes, which for me is not preferable since my VPS only spikes very occasionally and can be frustrating when services are temporarily unavailable even for short periods.

For Xen VPSes I highly recommend Linode. It is completely unmanaged so you will need to know how to administer a Linux server. They have a lot of awesome advanced network features such as IP fail over and out of band console access which is great if you screw something up. Their support answers within 15 minutes but you have to remember it is 100% unmanaged. If you need handholding, WiredTree would be a better option since its managed.

I recommend both WiredTree and Hostican as sources for reliable VPS hosting ... I have had great response time with both companies ... but if you want extra security WiredTree is the way to go...

I was just about to make a recommendation, but just noticed my VPS is down - always happens at the worst possible time - wedding anniversary tonight so I am going to have to sneak off from dinner out to keep checking support responses lol

I recommend Zipservers. I had one of my sites hosted with them for over a year and never had any problems. They even helped optimizing apache for my needs.

Knownhost is pretty nice. I've had several VPSes with them and I was always happy.

agree, Knownhost is the most reliable VPS hosting company, their support is the best, 2 months ago my VPS got hacked and they solved everything in less than 2 hours.

I would not reccomend SLHost right now. Since their latest shenanigans with the sale and move, I've had nothing but problems with them. I am definitely looking very closely at knownhost.
