It is much safer when dealing with commercial requests because a) there is no chance of accidentally dealing with the wrong person during the communication and b) there is an audit trail of everything that has taken place during the exchange.

Also, on a side note, if you respond to someone and reference your telegram channel when they have specifically advised they are not interested in communicating that way, it comes across like you are blanket spamming your services without reading the requests and even in this specific case I was struggling to decide whether I should hilight this to you in the thread, or issue a warning for spam.
