Looking for Hints and Tips from your experiences on BHW

Hello BHWers!!!

What are some of the short and sweet lessons you've learned over the course of your time here that either no one talks about or that hardly get mentioned?

Not: "Just work harder, longer, faster."
But like: "No one told me at the start that 'Real' actually means 'looks real but is a bot.'"

I'd like to develop a FREE (no charge, not selling anything here) [method] for the Making Money section that isn't a method per se but a list of tips and hints from around all of the corners of BHW from you guys and gals the community.

Now wait, I know, a mod or someone will say. Nope, denied, just search for this. You are stupid stupid stupid. And yes, that Mod would be telling the truth about me! I can't run most of the methods here as I really just don't understand much of it. Sadness...

But I love all of my time here!

So! I am not looking for a new or used [Method] for making money. I want to know what they didn't tell you, or what you learned the hard way, or a tidbit that you learned that was worth more than the entire post! Could be anything!

Great initiative, we need more tangible methods and less motivational speeches. The forum is great as it is, but finding detailed methods requires some digging.

I’ll cover a few ways to get pennies and free advertisement right now with minimal effort and no investment.

Fiat Currency

FluidStack
FluidStack lets you monetise your bandwidth by running a program in the background which doesn’t slow down your computer at all. Payments are dependent on your internet connection (upload speed) and range between $5 per month (speeds below 100Mbps) to $50 per month (speeds above 500Mbps) with linear scaling for speeds in between.

PacketStream is a service similar to FluidStack. I think you can run them both together. I’ve only tried FluidStack and it works well and pays through PayPal:



Sweatcoin
Sweatcoin is apparently an app which pays you to walk. I think you’ll have to redeem gift cards, but that should work because there are sites on the internet where you can sell gift cards for cash. I don’t have a smartphone so I can’t test it, but maybe it’ll be useful to some of you.

Cryptocurrency

Mannabase
Sign up to Mannabase for a payout in their Universal Basic Income cryptocurrency each week. You get pretty much nothing. At current prices I get about $0.006 worth of Manna per week with today’s price. This is ridiculously low. But then again, all I did was sign up. You can leave it for years if you want and come back for free cryptocurrency.

I want to hear about every program like this, because almost nothing for free is better than nothing for free. I guess I should mention SwiftDemand as well.

Mellow Ads
Mellow Ads lets you claim 500 satoshi ($0.06 with today’s price on Bitcoin) or more daily to use for banner advertisement in their network. This is sort of decent if you want to experiment with banners. You could team something like this up with an affiliate offer in the cryptocurrency space.

Maybe you could sell your Manna and send the resulting satoshi to Mellow Ads. The Create Ad section of A-Ads is also cool in the sense that it lets you create a banner to monetise instantly, rather than going through all signup and approval steps of most ad networks.

Rent Out Hard Drive Space
You can monetise free hard drive space with Sia or Burstcoin. Search for siacoin file hosting imineblocks on YouTube and you’ll get a pretty good tutorial.

Browser Method
You could get a free domain (freenom, wordpress dot com etc.) and free webhosting (wordpress dot com, x10hosting etc.) and make a list of something useful to people like the guy over at

then run a miner (a Wordpress miner plugin, for instance) to get a sliver from every user.

Alternatively, you can place a few ads from a network which accepts low-quality traffic like A-Ads or Propeller Ads. Market the site to users who would like to read the information, but also send traffic from auto surfers like OtoHits and/or manual traffic exchanges like EasyHits4U and Finest Traffic.

Free Advertisement / Backlinks

If you have a site or offer and want free backlinks, a few sites which have actually worked for me (and show up in ahref’s backlink statistics) are:

• Submit a free ad on sites like:
  
  • SitePlugger
  • Ion Web Pages
  • bulletinboarddigital
  • outlived (dot) co (dot) uk

• Submit your business/site for free at webwiki (dot) co (dot) uk
• Write some piece of bride content on something like a list in Evernote with a link back to your site
  
  • Market this bridge content in small, spammy subreddits related to your topic. You can easily get top post of all-time in these subreddits. There’s a generous guy here on Black Hat World who has had a free reddit upvotes giveaway thread running for months

Finally, a good way to search Black Hat World for newly released, tangible methods is to go to advanced search and filter on these three options:
