I worked on it last year, but did not have time to work further on it. I have now taken it "out from the box" again and are working hard on it, and are using it for my new blog farm.
I have implemented a nice bunch of features since last time, and i now feel that i am ready to let somebody in here beta test it.
So what is this?
- A system that let`s you manage all Wordpress blogs you have that support xmlrpc
- A system that can automaticly create new WPMU-blogs on YOUR OWN installations, a php-file is required for the system to work.
- A system that crawl RSS feeds, search for given keywords and publish content to the a blog that have a given keyword. (Time between postings is decided for yourself)
- Ability to quickly post whatever you self want on a blog.
- Ability to look up popular words (including getting top lists) from the RSS feeds
- Simple statistics system (pageviews on blogs)
- Quick general stats
- Some simple tools
I have tested it for around 15 000 RSS feeds and 150ish blogs and it (appears) scales good for me at least. (Note that old RSS data is deleted)
When the system is ready for normal usage, i will charge a small fee per month (say 5/10 USD?), you can then manage a given number of blogs, crawl a given number of RSS feeds etc. (And hopefully much more!)
What i want from the testers:
- To test it (d`oh!)
- Give me feature requests
- Give me bug reports
- Give me their opinions
Beta testers will be given nice payment in form of free usage of the system for some months AND increased limits (for example higher max number of rss feeds to parse, higher maximum number of blogs etc)
Who i want as beta testers:
- Active members in here that know what they are talking about
- Must have been active for a good while
- Optimally be moderators++/others with good reputation
How many i want:
- I will start out with five persons to test the system
And i become a beta tester how?
