Looking for a good VPS for a mail server

Hello! I search for a $6 (or less) VPS with open port 25 for SMTP and ability to set PTR (reverse DNS). Also, the ability to buy additional IPs would be a great advantage. I plan to install PowerMTA (or other MTA) on it to send Email campaigns. Besides DigitalOcean, what are the options?

I found Kamatera, but some users report inability to set PTR. Now I found InterServer (UPD: "By default port 25 is blocked on the VPS." — official response).

What VPS do you use for a MTA?

I guess this is a cat and mouse game - you find a host, setup smtp, start sending, they catch you and suscpend your acc. Then you look for a vps again and again... what is your ROI?

I am unable to calculate ROI as I am only starting. My budget for VPS per month is $10 dollars.
Well, at least I want to find a host that allows legit mass mailing.

If your list is optin this should be easy. For scrapped list it is brelly legal. Did you try @Xcode?

I think he was referring me ? or maybe not.

but he his seeking for vps with port 25 open maybe he wants to setup his own mailing support with unlimited sending and in that it will destroy the IPv4 within hours or even less.

Yeah, I want to setup a MTA on my own. I have already done this with DigitalOcean, but it was for a test (10/10 on mail-tester)

They could still flag IP depending upon volume of emails. Good VPS for mailing, I've no clue about ports but my host took care for all mail server set up for me. You might get in touch with them @DamoHG see if they got fit VPS for you

If you are looking to do mass mailing, and your list is genuine, you could also try services like Postmark, Sendgrid and so on. It's a big pain to manage the mailing server yourself. I'd say, don't do it.

But make sure your list is genuine, and you have proper subscribe form and unsubscribe service. If in doubt, try reaching out to their customer support to double check everything. Atleast postmark's support is responsive, tested.

100k emails in total; 10k per day minimum. DB was bought.

Thanks for suggestion, but unfortunately my list is not "white" enough for Sendgrid.

oops, then don't try! I am sure I have seen atleast one BST on bhw who can send bh emails to lists. Try browsing through the marketplace perhaps.

if you ask me stick with digital ocean only. Cause no provider really wants to risk their ipv4 on unlimited mailing. But still its going to be like mouse and cat game you run they catch.

Digital ocean will block port 25 as soon as someone hits the Spam button.

You should clean your list first before you start mailing.

I had a website on DigitalOcean. After some time (>1mo) I decided to install a mail server and encountered no problems. Ports were open.
