I'm looking for a tool, free if possible (although I don't mind paying) that will basically find all of my incoming links and incoming links to my competitors sites. That's it basically. :)

I used SEO elite a couple of years back, I'm pretty sure I didn't pay $50 a month for it though. Anyway, there are far to many things inside SEOE that I wouldn't use and so I can't justify payinng that much for it.

Despite there being quite a few backlink checkers out there, my favourite free one is still backlinkwatch. This is because it shows you all in one page what sort of linking strategy the site has gone for, it shows nofollow, anchor text and OBL.

Sadly, it is getting less reliable these days. If you wait 10 minutes or try again about 4 times, the "out of quota" message usually goes away. Also, get over the annoying ad for seo link pro by opening the "close this thing" in a new tab, then you can use the service.

You can also use noscript and blacklist the site.
I have never seen this shitty box again after doing so.
