I used to do sales and data research for years at LinuxMagic/MagicMail - an Anti-spam and Email Platform for ISPs/Telcos/Cable companies.
Check out: Mailtester is all I needed to verify Decision Makers emails, find out what anti-spam/platforms ISPs were running all without needing to call and ask.
It does have a limiter, I believe 5 requests per minute.
