Hello,

I am looking on the forum for a DMOZ Editor or someone that can create listing for a couple of websites on DMOZ Directory the right way, please let me know can do this for me, you can PM if you like about it.

I know people say that DMOZ no matter anymore but, I need this, thanks !!

Regards,

Any DMOZ editor please? Anyone?Thanks

I've been trying to get into DMOZ for years and never been successful - I've heard rumors that if you get listed in the likes of Yahoo! directory it does provide you with a bit of an advantage. Perhaps look at the back link profiles for some of the key competitors that are listed in the category that you want to rank in...

DMOZ editors only have access to a certain category they are assigned to..IE "New York Photographers". Good luck...

You can try http://www.blurbpoint.com/dmoz-listing.php. But I've never tried it.

They just submit your website with proper guidelines but do not provide any guarantee of DMOZ listing.

So after you PM me begging and I do not respond you post a thread? lulz

Well, I submit my site there over a year and they don't tell you yes or no, or why not. So, I am need to speed things up for this to happen even since I really need it. What you think of Yahoo directory is it really worth it?

You can try DMOZ Submission Service. But I've never tried it.

Thanks man, I tried that a year ago and still not listed.

Exactly they don't guarantee.

How does it help if you have a Y! directory listing?

I don't know but, it seems that Yahoo Directory is as important as DMOZ, so, some how has to help you, like showing that if you pay Yaoo directory for listing then maybe your project is consider to be serious and that makes it easier to get listed in DMOZ. I don't know I am no editor but, if someone could clarify would be great. :D

hi,we applied 2-3 times within 8 years. but no success. again make application to the category will you please help us , what is our mistake. we apprciate if you be aour dmoz consultant.

if you do manage to get into dmoz and blast that page, dmoz will know and redirect that category page to the homepage. So even if you get into a niche category you cant go crazy on trying to make this a powerful link. Finding editors is very difficult, and finding ones who will get you in is even harder

There's not enough editors, you may notice that some categories update every second day and some don't update for a several years.
I made submission to dmoz 6 years ago, since then there were no changes at all.

Actually, I edit a category. The problem is that certain category editors are control freaks and don't want help editing. Even in the categories that have 1200+ unreviewed submissions. Also, if you're running a travel or childrens site, don't even bother submitting. They just assume only spammers hit those categories.
