I was going through a list of RSS feed aggregators which was about 85% active 6 months ago, took a look today, lots and lots empty of PR5 or 6 sites! I'd say about 2/3 of the RSS sites are now dead or not accepting any more feeds, and the reason? SPAM! (thats what pretty much all of them were saying anyway).

Just thought it worth pointing out that everybody and their uncle spamming out automated back links does have an effect (but also that there's probably some domain bargains to be had right now :D)

haha Great cheers

:rippedhan RSS Feed aggregators

alot of article directories and other RSS directories would also be dead soon.

Yeah, I think as more and more of the avenues of promotion shut down due to excessive spam those that remain are gooing to become more and more swamped, until finally the whole system collapses.... then all the script kiddies will just move onto the next big thing like a swarm of locust devouring all in its path, unthinking and uncaring, blinded by the endless pursuit of '3asy monies!', until there's nothing left :(

what do script kiddies have to do with it?

i think i is a cool name so i wanna know how to be one of these kiddies :D

these young rebels leading the forefront of human devolution. :)

script kiddies are people who download scripts (or software) and never bother to look any deeper into what they're doing. Originally used to differentiate between actual hackers and those who preteneded to know what they were doing :D (well it goes a little deeper than that, back in the day if you successfully got into a type of system you'd just write a script so it would perform all the same steps the next time you wanted to get into it, the script kidies were the ones who only ever got into systems by downloading someone elses work and using that).
Nowadays the best example of scriptkids would be all those 14 year olds who think they're actually members of anonymous because they downloaded some software and took part in a few bot-net attacks (jokes on them though, because I imagine most of them have never even considered that the software they downloaded has embeded itself into their system and they're now available for whatever the Russian Business Network wants to rent them out for :D)

Edit====> Should be obvious how closely this applies to blackhat :D
