Long time lurker. time for change

Hey all , i have been a lurker here for a long time and always read the IM journeys and various other post to get ideas. i want a fresh start and could really use some advice on where to begin .
(a little about me)
Im a 22yr old Computer science student from UK, no part time work .
I have made an amazon affiliate niche site a few years ago but could never get it of the ground despite nearly 6 months of trying. since then i have started universtiy and have learnt alot more about website development , SEO ect.
i have been toying around with tumblr accounts and bots and have a couple of accounts with around 50k followers but have struggle to monetize only making around £5 a month with both using ads and referal links applicable to niche.
im not looking for a lecture on IM as i understand most of the core methods ect , i would very much like some advice on where to restart however, i have the next 2 months completely free and can dedicate alot of time to my new journey , i do not have much money to invest into this , can probably spare enough for domians and hosting if needed (as mentioned im a student )
basically i want a solid and simple method to make income , i see that IG seems to be very popular atm but i have never used it , i would like to be able to use my tumblr accounts though . i am open to any suggestions.

Fuck that social media shit. It's short term. Go out and build something that you can scale and become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams. Stop asking for advice and do some reading.

honestly short term works just fine for me , i only want to experiment and see what works best for me and my abilities. i enjoy web development and botting aswell as coding and customising bots , so something that incorperates that is ideal for me . also i dont really want to ivest huge amounts of time into something that may or may not work, with social media it is easy to grow and see that growth im just struggling with monetizing.
as for doing something big and scale-able it would be nice if you could specify.
