Howdy y’all,

I’ve been in digital marketing since 2013 as a web design freelancer. In 2015, a friend and I started an agency that we later sold to a larger agency in town. Since then, I’ve focused solely on one industry that lacks considerably in the online world as a contract marketing manager. Have 8 clients and manage everything of theirs from their website to email automation, social media, SEO, PR, and graphic design. Mostly use freelancers to fulfill my clients needs, so that’s abig reason why I’m here. Haven’t had much luck lately with freelancers on the mainstream hiring platforms.

Just curious, how much was your agency earning back then and how much did you sell it for?

Not much as compared to other agencies that are acquired. We averaged around $35,000/mo and we’re sold for mid 6-figures. Only sold because the agency that bought us had been contracting their work to us and they liked how we structured things and the trajectory we were on.
 
How many freelancers do you have working under you for the 8 clients? Wishing you the very best here, they have some real good social media marketers on here

Depends on the month and the one-off projects I expect to happen like a new website, ppc ramping up, etc. I always have 2 SEO guys and then 1-4 others for web, content, graphic design, ppc.

Nice. You'll find the marketplace really useful if you can identify the high quality sellers. Unfortunately I can't tell you how to do that LOL. Welcome.
