So I have been playing with my three websites for about 18 months and the things I have found is long content pages with multiple medias (picture, video, words) and multiple keywords and variations of keywords with similar words (onsite, mobile, location) ranks better.
I think the days of ranking for one or two keywords on a page is over. It is about lots of supported content using similar words and putting all of your services on your first page to rank for multiple keywords. Google has gotten smarter and implied meaning and ranking you for similar terms in your niche.
I have changed over one of my sites from 14 pages to 6 and the main page is three times longer and it is ranking better 60 days later. I have also noticed after this change google rewards you more over time for your site and its link movement and short term gains may be needed by some but is not a winning formula over time for most search terms.
What do you all think is increasing the length and content of your "landing page" money page, main page now a viable option and reducing your pages actually better for your website vs trying to rank multiple pages.
