Lol godaddy steals domains - be careful

Old.. sorry about that .. move on .. nothing that you can do.. on wait there is! Don't trust someone with name GoGranny :D

GoDaddy and all EIG Company!

When you make a "lookup" to check if domain is available or not, they have a system (theory) that probably checks for the age, backlinks, estimation of value and many more things, when you will purcharse, they automatically purcharse it for them.

That is because you should stay away from GoDaddy, if you buy from GoDaddy use something to block your Cookies and other data collected by GoDaddy.

This is not joke, GoDaddy is a shady company! Stay away from them and any GoDaddy subsidiary (search in google for EIG Full company list)
If you have domains with GoDaddy or recently purchase, wait 90 days or 60 days (ICANN Transfer policy) then transfer immediatly your domain to other registar and you will be safe from this shady company.

This is the MAIN reason why you should buy from Hosting that cares about Privacy and Full Data Protection.

That happen when your payment information like (Paypal information account) doesn't coincide with your current address / street / location in your details of your account in Namecheap, they block it.

If you have a VPN / TOR it will increase the change of your being blacklisted or IP get listed as fraud, even if you didn't.
Go with Njal.la doesn't ask for it, this is a good option.

Today they are shit in all fields, expensive as hell and cause many issues to their customers like what you mentioned. I moved all my top level tld domains to Namecheap, they provide far better and easy to use panel, plus their prices are fair and they add privacy to each domain which is perfect.
 
I use Namesilo, mostly, but you can now register with Cloudflare, so that's a bit cheaper, and one less step to integrate DNS management, so it's more ideal.
I've got a few domains on Uniregistry, as well, but they were acquired by GoDaddy, so beware. (LoL)
Whenever I do bulk lookups for domains, I use the Uniregistry search, so maybe there's some risk, there, but I sort-of doubt it.

GoDaddy doesn't care abotu you, did you check how many hostings they manage? Under EIG Company? Just Google it and you will be impressive.
There are in the market better than GoDaddy even if better security and privacy... GoDaddy is nothing compared with OVH / Fastpipe and others hosting providers.
 
I noticed that back in 2019, never used them again. I only use Namecheap now.

Godaddy's Domain Appraisal Tool is also unreliable. It tends to price all domains around $1000.

Godaddy has so much shady activity your just at the tip of the iceberge.

But they basically run the market so sometime you have to play by their rules just be careful

I believe this is the case with a lot of the big domain providers. I've always been told to stay away and buy from elsewhere!
 
Best registrars imo: namesilo, dynadot, porkbun.

Ok-ish registrars: namecheap, name.com but they don't have live domain availability so it may show available but it's already registered.

Worst registrars: 1&1, GoDaddy, domain.com, network solutions directnic and others.

LOL, on that theme NC just suspended one of my domains for "Legal Abuse"...it's just a domain right, registered 2 days and then suspended for Legal Abuse...and so I went through the hoops and HAD to answer detailed questions and a 2-page argument on "why the domain was nice...and had not 'abused anyone", of course, I used the Epstein defence, "I thought she was 16...., within 8 hours suspension lifted. I was and am an 'NC fanboy', and yes I hate GD so much, that if it was a nation, I would invade it. Try Porkbun, they have some good renewal prices, unusual TLDs and a funny name. Oh and I often use PB to search for DMs as their "all beast mode" is quicker to populate and scan down than NC's

Have to agree with these. Porkbun are great and Namesilo is my number 2 choice.

What that's insane. Does that stuff happens to big brands or blogs too? What if it does, do you have a way to defend yourself legally and get back the domain?
 
If you search same name again and again automatically godaddy will make that domain premium. bcoz the bot thinks that the domain is in demand. Nothing New in that
