So I need a VPS so I can get back in adwords. I went to the site and clicked on "Live support". Check this out...

You are now chatting with 'Gordon'

Gordon: Hello, thank you for contacting LiquidWeb Sales, my name is Gordon. How can I help you today?

phillip: can you guys provide me with a VPS that I can simply login and surf the web?

Gordon: You want to pay $60/Month to surf the internet?

phillip: yeah thats what I want to do

phillip: what kind of Q is that?

Gordon: I am just confirming that is what you are asking.

phillip: in a "nutshell"

phillip: trying to not be to complex so I can get a simple answer

Gordon: Are you looking for a windows machine?

phillip: yes

phillip: I want to surf online play games etc

phillip: can you offer this?

Gordon: Can I ask why?

phillip: phillip: I want to surf online play games etc

phillip: wow this is the weirdest experience with support I have ever had

Gordon: I am checking into this for you.

phillip: uh ok

phillip: thought it was a simple question. Guess not

Gordon: You have to realize, we are a webhosting company, typically customer don't pay us $100/Month to surf the internet.

Gordon: Sorry for my questions, but I am just trying to make sure this is the right solution for you.

phillip: thought it was 60

phillip: ill go somewhere else thanks

Lol
I think you need a VPN for adwords
and you cannot play games on VPS.

i don't know about your intentions or your plans with the vps.
but in my opinion you acted very immature in this chatlog.

Perhaps it appears that way to you but it was not intentional.

What was I suppose to say? I need to get back into adwords?
Why not?
The less people like you on the Internet will allow us to get on with some work.

Ok just talked to another support guy from another VPS site. Its clear now that this service is NOT originaly used to do what I am trying to do. I keep getting pitched with 'hosting" plans for a website.

When I ask about remote desktops etc they all get confused.

Is this everyone's experience?

So I guess I will just sign up for one and give it a shot.

LOL with a lil more research you wouldent even have to ask these stupid question you would know what a windows vps can and cant do. pffft. lazier and lazier these new breed have become.

Come on, man....

First of all, Liquid Web is a great company in my experience. Both for their service and support, I have a (badass dual-hex Xeon) dedicated web server through them and they've sorted out a SSL issue for me as well; which took less than 5 minutes and included a brief explanation of how the SSL process works. Anything that I've not been able to do myself, or messed up playing around with things I shouldn't have, their techs went right in and fixed it for me in minutes. Got everything working perfectly, for free.

Next, if you look at their site (I've checked their site for a grand total of about 15 seconds to find this information), you'll see two things. That a Linux VPS is $60 per month while a Windows VPS is $100 per month. Both of which support remote control and have built in web browsers. The next thing you'll see, (I'm still on the VPS page, remember, haven't left it) is that the Windows VPS is powered by Windows Server 2003 and supports "Administrator Access (RDP)".

If you need a computer to access RDP, go with 1&1 and get a Windows VPS. You can also get a cheaper option with KnownHost. I think they have a Windows VPS.

If you need a different IP, can you use HMA or a proxy?

Actually OP, they are not confused. Are you sure you understand what a remote connection is? Like jass11 said, you need a VPN and a few other tools such as: User agent switcher, Ghostery, Ccleaner and a totally different bank account.

NO a VPS. I know what a VPN is. Tried that and it didnt work for me. The IP they gave me was blacklisted.

I need a VPS
Just admit it. you don't know what you are talking about.
There's no shame.
I can manage several adwords accounts from the same pc without using VPS's.
You would get a better response if you just asked instead of behaving like a
smartass.

Several adwords accounts? Using VPN's?

Care to list which network?

I tried purevpn and asked for a dedicated IP they gave me one all right and it was blacklisted.

This guy (a member here) got back in adwords using a VPS

So I thought I'd try it.

I would post the link to the post here on BHW but Im not allowed. The title of the post is "Adwords Unbanned"

I never claimed to be an expert at all this stuff. If you guys want to give me a hard time thats fine.

Just know that I have been up for days without sleep reading everything I can at this forum and other places trying to find a solution.

All I can do is try my best to understand this. So go ahead and knock if it makes you feel good but I wont give up.

Sorry but Gordon seems professional and attentive...
I would be surprised if someone is willing to spend $100 a month to "surf the internet and play games".

Of course, it's just my opinion.

Beny
