So Ive been doing PPC management for a client for four years. My ROI on their investment every month is excellent. Assuming the revenue for a new patient is $1000, I'm generating $190k per year on a yearly investment of $25k.

That being said, SEO has always been second fiddle. The site ranks number 1 or 2 for all the proper local terms and thats just from site age, business age, and the on page work Ive done as well as the citation claims I've done.

I want to expand. PPC is my bread and butter but I know enough about websites and internet marketing that I know I can succeed. My thing is I just dont have a process in place. Where can I learn these things? I thought about going to work for a company for a little to see the day to day processes that are involved with the clients but to me its morally wrong to do that with the intention of competing. Are there classes out there that show the ins and outs of running a SEO firm?

I'm kinda lost on how it all happens.

if you want to learn seo things you can start learning of udemy courses which is providing very excellent tutorial.
 
same as me PPC is my bread and butter but I want to learn new things thats why I do SEO for my longterm passive income.

PPC = fast and easiest way to earn

SEO = longterm and passive income

70 to 80% of your time must go the things that you are good at

20 to 30% = learning new ways
 
You either know it or you don't, don't pay someone to teach you, they'll be useless.

So there are a number of SEO courses out there, here are the top 3 imo the last being the most comprehensive:
1. Nathan Gotch's
2. Brian Dean's
3. Neil Patel's

They will give you a great foundation, but I will give you a tip to find the dragon's lair of downloads:

-this forum hosts some downloads that come from another site, which is watermarked on the downloads - find out that site and seek it out...

You will basically be doing organic search engine ranking along with some local citations you can find for free on Brightlocal's site (Citation Burst is free to register and view citation sources) - in order to rank in the 3 pack in addition to the organic results.

I think doing BOTH seo and ppc will supercharge the results your clients are getting because there's a myth out there that businesses that do PPC see a boost in their organic rankings...

I disagree. I know a lot about PPC. I still learn everyday from articles, videos and blogs. SEO is much different than when I dabbled in it 5 years ago.

This post is truly useless and no one should listen to him. Maybe the pay part
 
Advanced U teaches local SEO but as far as everyday operations you probably already understand the day to day business end of things but Advanced U has some of the top dogs in local SEO participate.

What are you talking about?

If you need to learn something very fast, you PAY someone to teach you (however, one can easily argue you'd be inferior to those who have learned by testing and practicing what they read AKA practitioners).

If you have the dough to pay someone to teach you, the question is who is a credible guy to teach you solid advice on SEO?

The Curator's list is solid though I'm not sold on Nathan Gotch. :)

After going through many programs, his was the best laid out, understandable. His site may be mediocre, but his course was better - def in top 3.

Will keep that in mind when I stumble to any free/mini course of his.

I guess one big factor is his too much reliance on paid courses for his own brand's marketing? I guess I'm a bit biased since I see Brian and Neil on Facebook all the time lol.

Funny - I was going to say those were the other two on the list, Neil's being the best. But I agree he needs to kick up the value he provides for free on his blog and other channels. At the same time, I totally understand not having the time to update my own site and blog regularly to be able to offer free advice in a world quickly changing (digital marketing)..

Virtual assistants, my friend. I think that's Neil's strength (outsourcing and training to a point that quality remains high for years). He clearly has some talented guys in his roster since he's so hands-on of each and every comment plus blogs daily.
 
my advice is to explore your teacher yourself.
Every pro who provide pieces of training has some free tutorials on the web too. go through them and catch which one suits you best. there are some guys whose few hours session at skype can get you worth.
Brian Dean, Neil Patel and lots lot of other guys who have a great hand are active at social platforms and you can get the best reviews of them from there or their youtube channels. Before looking for a trainer, I also opt to make a search on youtube. Who knows what I am searching can be available there for free even.
 
The basics are readily available for free, the recent changes and updates and what's working today is what you will have a hard time finding or learning but learn your basics then you can chat or search for an expert otherwise you are a baited hook to all the sharks just looking to take your money for free, they will see you as someone who knows nothing and that puts you in a very bad position to be taken advantage of.

"bulletproof local seo" by stephen floyed. he is also a team member of the omg program.

"local seo blueprint" by chris beatty

and then ... "localprofitbreakthrough" , an extensive course on all options how to rank local and monetize your skills. really impressive.

... ah, one more .... a local seo course created by a young shooter named lionzeal. he offers also a course on how to run your own local seo agency.

seriously Neil Patel? He is just great at marketing his own stuff(his main skill is overhype)
